Property grounds were well kept, staff were attentive. Food and drink were at best mediocre. WiFi was available but not good, Restaurants were lacking and only one reservation was allowed in a given 24 hours period. Room service was available however a fee per item was added and prices were steep and food quality was not good. Beach was amazing and pay services for cabanas were worth it. Pools need an upgrade. Smell of sewer and mold could be experienced in the rooms. Rooms over all were cleaned and well appointed. Bathroom were large and efficient.

Where do I begin? my first room was dirty and had several mosquitos. I upgraded my room to Platinum hoping it would be better. Room was nice and clean but lost power twice, phones didn’t work and when they did you couldn’t get anyone to answer. Had to walk to the lobby to make complaints and it wasn’t close by the room. The WiFi is terrible even though I paid for high speed, it rarely worked. The tvs weren’t clear, the screens were choppy so you couldn’t really watch anything. Room service delivery time always ended up being 90 minutes. All inclusive isn’t worth it if you are wanting or for the alcohol, I kid you not, me and my boyfriend probably had 10-12 alcoholic beverages a day and felt NOTHING! PGB dinner was laughable, service wasn’t good! The highlight of the trip was the beach is clean and beautiful, they decorated the room for my boyfriend’s birthday, gave him a custom cake and a bottle of champagne. This made him feel really special, there was a fee for this but it was very small and so worth it. The staff at Chopin were phenomenal, by the second day, they knew where we wanted to sit and what we liked to drink. They were very attentive and I hate that I don’t remember their names but we ate there for breakfast and dinner almost every day because of the great service. Never used the pools because they were too packed all day, beach was quieter and better. Wouldn’t come back.

The property itself was beautiful and the rooms were nice but everything seemed to be broken. We had to switch rooms because the tv, shower, and sink were not working properly. Once we switched, the toilet stop working in the new room and the telephone in the room was broken, so we had to go to the front every time there was an issue (like our toilet not working). Also the front was not a short distance. The staff were not really friendly and the food was not good. Overall, I would not return to this property… there are so many more beautiful resorts to pick from in DR. Lastly, the mosquitos were a huge problem. I understand we’re in a tropical area but it’s clear the doors on the rooms needed to be lowered (space between the floor and the door) which caused an overwhelming amount of mosquitos to enter into your room. FYI Upon arrival we noticed three people wanting to change rooms, once we changed, we ran into another lady that was changing her room as well due to the same type of problems.

The property grounds were Beautiful. Would have appreciated more with room service included as other all inclusives do. Check-in staff not as friendly and explained nothing nor did check out staff. A little disappointed in that aspect.

This time was the fourth for me. I really like this resort because nice and beautiful place,very friendly staff in this hotel. Always with any question, When you go to them, they help you solve it. Foot and restaurant is good, I’ll be Back again, I hope!

We stayed in late February so it wasn't overly crowded. We spent most of our time on the Platinum side. The staff was very friendly and helpful. The property was beautiful. There are many restaurants to choose from. We tried as many as we could and found the food ranged from excellent to mediocre. The Plantinum buffet was always very good, fresh, and offered lots of choices. The late night food at 24x7 Rebels was terrible. Portion sizes at the ala carte restaurants tended to be small, so order the apps! I'm sure this helps reduce waste and food is included, so no harm. Just be aware of it. On the beach - Beware, if anyone hands you anything, a flower, a bird, anything, they will expect payment. They are there to make money, good for them. But they will take a picture of you with your phone and charge you a hefty fee. Absolutely would go back again.

Pros: Pick up from the airport in Punta Cana was efficient convenient and the representative was good for booking events / excursions during my stay. The resort was refurbished a few years ago so great facilities. Lots of options with restaurants and bars, great gym, rooms were and clean with a nice layout etc. Staff were polite and helpful. I really enjoyed my stay and would go again and recommend. Cons: This is more to do with the Expedia booking experience than the venue. When booking my room, I had assumed I was getting an ocean view and actual bungalow but the rooms are in a building of 12 units across 3 levels. I found this out when I arrived. Also, someone I met on my flight who booked the same room type as me via Expedia on the same day, and for the same duration paid circa 400 CAD less than me for their total package. How can there be such a vast difference in prices? Overall my four night trip was great but in the future will look at other options/ sites to compare prices.
