The hotel was clean and the restaurant was great. It was very difficult to control the temperature in the room. The walls were not sound proof. In the room next to mine, I could hear what people were watching on tv, their conversation on the telephone and their conversation between them.

Rooms are clean and the service is good. However, the hotel could use a face-lift. We've been staying there since for years, and nothing has been upgraded. Also, the area outside is very dirty, with cigarette butts and litter. The entryway to the hotel should be cleaner.

Red Deer in February . . .

Good value for what we paid ($98/n) with advance booking. Bathroom rather basic (antique shower plumbing) and mattress and pillows too soft for my taste. Excellent lunch in the dining room, and an enjoyable - if limited - swim in the small pool on a sunny day!

For the price we paid it was a real bargain. Large well appointed room, great restaurant with reasonable prices and very near to Red Deer College. We would definitely stay here again on our next visit to Red Deer.

Evening front desk staff were great. Bad review due to finding the room had not been cleaned/checked properly - found an empty cigarette pack in the room with hard drugs inside. If a kid had found this it could have been fatal... When reported in the morning to front desk, there was a half-hearted apology.
