I stay here frequently and enjoy it . The staff is amazing and the elevator that was out for 2 months is back up and running. Only issue this time were other guest and children. Very loud around the pool , no one from the staff to address and my laptop got wet while working.

The lift was not working and the room offered was on the fifth floor. The staff let us know that they could not communicate to us because we booked through Expedia. That was in my mind a couple out .customera should be treated consistently regardless of the channel used for booking. If not , close that channel. As a customer, I don't see any value booking through Expedia and also would hesitate to book at Hilton given how casually they blamed Expedia for the lack of communication and inconvenience caused.

I believe we would have had better service, and a better quality room at a Super 8. Where do I begin? The tub faucet runs a solid steam of water, when in the off position, so the room has a free bonus water feature. The lady at the desk was sweet, but was fully aware and clear she was unable to do anything about it. If you get physical key cards at the desk- don't expect them to work - less than 1/6 of the cards for our large group worked. But don't worry, you can go back downstairs by taking the stairwells, exiting the building and walking around the EXTERIOR of the HILTON HOTEL to go to the front desk as the elevators are broken. The furniture is torn up, we actually took timestamp photos so we wouldn't be blamed! But for those of you who choose to book - just know here you have to request towels/trash service. This is no longer an automatic service- so if you know you're going to need towels, grab them before you hike around the building and up the stairs. Please be extra cautious as the exterior stairwell doors are not key cards protected/do not latch so if safety is a concern, you may want to look elsewhere. This hotel stay was an absolute disappointment and should never be considered or apart of the HILTON brand/reputation - do not be fooled, it may have the name but zero of the HILTON quality.

Horrible stay

Traveling to Richmond to care for ill mother. At check in we were told the elevator was broken. It had been for over 3 weeks. We had to carry our luggage outside the main building to a stairwell, which was unsecured and unlocked and walk up to our floor. With our luggage. My first room was on the fifth floor. I asked to be switched to a lower floor because of mobility issues. I would switch to the second floor, where the room had brown stains on the duvet cover hair in the shower and the shower was wet, and there was leftover food in the refrigerator from previous guest. The room also had a layer of dust on higher areas. A woman came up, who said she was from the kitchen, handed her sheets and said she was not certified to change the bed. She removed the food. Venus was very understanding and I am working with her and the third-party booking agent for a refund. I’m not sure how this hotel stays open though with ADA certifications and laws as nobody with a walker, crutches, or scooter or wheelchair would be able to access their room.

We’ve stayed here several times. It’s a beautiful property with dining and a pool. Currently elevators are being replace so you have to use steps and a bit of a walk. This is only temporary so maybe just check on progress before you book.

No elevator and bathroom with hair and dried vomit

Upon arrival, I was informed elevator was out of service. Although desk clerk related correct phone number, there had been no contact to me reporting no elevator service or to give me opportunity to change my reservation to another hotel. She stated that they had tried to contact me that same day but also claimed they were having problems with their phone lines as well. So climbing stairs to 3rd floor less than optimal when carrying luggage but also required going outside to get to stairs during a very rainy weekend. No accommodation for inconvenience such as complimentary breakfast. Of note, when I asked how long elevator was out of service to Bill who kindly helped carry my luggage up 3 flights of stairs, he honestly told me elevators were out of service for “2 weeks” and yet no notification of this prior to my check in and reservations made more than 2 weeks in advance. In addition, there was hair on toilet and tub and what appeared to be remnants of dried up vomit in the tub.

Everything was good, check-in smooth, and the property is in great shape with clean rooms and quiet area. The only issue this stay was an elevator issue that had both elevators out of service so all room access was via the stairs. There was a repair service on Monday morning working on them, so it was being taken care of. Otherwise, stay was just fine with no problems at all.

The elevator didn't work and we were on the 3 rd floor. The shower handle came off in my husband's hand and the hot tub jets never came on. They did give me extra points but I had to ask for them. This no way lives up to a Hilton standard.

Our power went out so we needed somewhere to go for a night. The elevators were down and no one bothered to tell us until we got there. We had to walk up stairs with our young child and all of our luggage. Apparently there is only one set of stairs and you have to go outside to use them. They only offer room service in the evening which I wish was more clear. Their faucet in the bath was loose and leaked. The keys stopped working almost immediately after receiving them and when I went to get them fixed at the front desk the person in front of me had a much nicer checkin experience than my own. The woman who checked us in was abrupt and not friendly.
