The staff was VERY nice and helpful. The upgraded light switches with the automatic nightlights weren’t ideal. Very this window glass and you can hear every car that drives by.

This hotel is under renovation and should not be open until the work has been completed. Heating and cooling were not functional for the first two days of my three day visit. There was a lot of construction noise during the weekdays. And the doors on the rooms didn’t keep much hallway noise out of the room. The remote controls of the TV were not functional and had to be replaced twice. Good location although not easy to find.

Disappointed.

The only good thing was the breakfast. The hotel was undergoing extensive renovations, including the lobby, rooms, etc. Only had one flat pillow per person in the room. Asked for more, but was told there were none. Only one elevator for four floor hotel. Bad experience. Should have been informed ahead of time about the extensive renovations on-going. It would have given us the option to choose another hotel in the area.

We knew going in that this property was undergoing renovations but we were also told that our particular room (404) had already undergone renovation and was ready for occupancy. Here’s list of just a few of the things that were wrong: Bathroom door sticks and has to be forced open or closed, the tub was not only chipped it was dirty, paint chips were in the entry way and floor of the bathroom, the GFI was always tripped and would not reset, toilet seat loose (I tried to tighten and could not) there was paint all only the drop in ceiling and to be totally frank, the property was below IHG standards and I really can’t believe you could charge $204 for the night.

This Holiday Inn Express Brandermill in Midlothian, VA was very disappointing. They were renovating the first floor and still reserving rooms on the first floor making a miserable experience. They overbooked the hotel rooms so they had no parking 2x days. The director told us to park in the disability parking which we refused since morally you should never park there unless you were disabled and needed it. Plus it would be a violation and you could get a ticket for $500 if caught. The TV did not have all the channels and most of the channels had blurry pictures. The room had only a sheer curtain only so a street light was shining into your room all night. You got dressed in the dark, no privacy. The refrigerator made a droning loud noise randomly so you constantly wake up. Nobody came by to clean room or make bed the second day. We did not blame the front staff but the management for having a shortage of staff and not improving the situation. This place is is not hospitable or enjoyable.

Great location that just happened to be under renovation during my stay. Very friendly staff and c the newly updated rooms are beautiful. Parking is extremely limited due to the construction trailers taking up slot off spaces. Overall, it was s great stay. I would stay here again!
