Close to everything, including central station, taxis, restaurants, e bikes and scooters. Good breakfast and hot drinks. WiFi in rooms furthest from reception isn't great and does need looking into, so bare this in mind if you need WiFi. Also, it's on a main street, so expect noise and if that bothers being ear plugs. You won't find a hotel in the heart of Rome with silent rooms, it's a non-stop city. When the restaurants are closed, they do a lot of clean up at night, ready for another day.

I had a fantastic stay at Augusta Lucilla Palace in Rome! From the moment we arrived, the staff were incredibly welcoming, friendly, and always ready to help with a smile. The hotel was very clean and well-maintained, which made us feel comfortable and relaxed throughout our stay. The location is great — it’s relatively close to all the main attractions, and we were able to get around easily on foot or by public transport. We booked a stay with breakfast included, and it was definitely worth it! There was a nice variety every morning, and everything was fresh and delicious — a perfect start to our days exploring the city. I highly recommend this hotel for anyone visiting Rome. Thank you to the whole team at Augusta Lucilla for making our trip so enjoyable!

Perfect location, steps from train station. Our family room was huge for 4 people sleeping in a big king size bed and 2 single beds. They give you a lot of amenities (shampoo, soap, hair cap, tooth brush, vanity set). There is slippers and robes at the closet. Staff was amazing. Definitely going back. Great hotel, great service.

We did not really enjoy this property. It is conveniently located near the train station however there are very sketchy areas only one block away. People using the bathroom in the street and the smell was over powering. When we arrived our room wasn’t vaccumed. The shower doesn’t drain very well and I had a few cold showers. The patios are all connected so anyone could come onto your patio if they wanted. One morning we woke up to someone working right outside our window, blocking our patio with a ladder then left a mess of mortar or some sort of substance. The little pull out couch was very tired looking, much like the rest of the dreary looking room. I honestly don’t know how it got so many fabulous reviews, it’s mediocre at best. The massage bed is a joke, it just loudly vibrates and isn’t that comfortable. I definitely would not stay there again.

Great Location and Atmosphere – Would Stay Again! We really enjoyed our stay at this hotel in Rome! The best part was definitely the location — everything was within walking distance. We didn’t need to use public transportation that much. Famous spots like the Spanish Steps, Trevi Fountain, and many great restaurants were all just a short walk away (about 30 minutes or less), which made exploring the city so easy and enjoyable. The area itself was lively and full of energy, with lots of people walking around and plenty of restaurants nearby. The atmosphere was lovely and felt very authentic. The hotel itself was also great. The lobby was stylish, the staff were friendly and helpful, and the room was clean and comfortable. The only downside was the size of the room — it felt quite small and the shower was very tight. But honestly, with everything else being so convenient and well done, it wasn’t a big issue for us. Overall, we had a great experience and would definitely stay here again. Highly recommend for anyone who wants to explore Rome on foot and be right in the heart of the city!
