Good choice for Moonstone Beach in Cambria,CA

A comfortable hotel close to Moonstone Beach. The room was nice and bed very comfortable. They have a nice jacuzzi/spa area with a steam room that is nice to popminto at the end of the day! Massages are available and the masseuse, Linden is very good! The ‘Continental breakfast’ is meager at best. There’s a toaster, and microwave, with coffee and hot water. They offer Coffeemate creamer, flavored and plain. They do not have cream or half and half for the coffee. I would say the ‘continental breakfast’ is their weakest area, and could use a vast upgrade! For bit a lot of effort.

They do not clean your room. The spa was warm not hot. There was a worker working in the same area with the their music on loud. The painter that was painting had his ladder up against the door to go to the hot tub. So I was not able to go out to use the hot tub. I will not return.

Great location with easy walking trails near by. Staff are friendly and helpful. The room was clean and nicely furnished. The only downside was the noise of hearing the water run from the other rooms. If the upstairs ran their shower or bath it was a bit loud. Still, all in all a nice place to stay. A Cambria gem!

The room itself was even more beautiful than the photos online. The hot tub in the room was a special treat along with the fireplace. Our view of a little forested area behind the room was incredible. We were steps away from the boardwalk to walk along the ocean and got to enjoy a wine tasting at sunset and walk back easily. Underground parking is safe and convenient. Lisa who greeted us and helped us with the fireplace was absolutely delightful. We will return here again. Oh, and of course, dog friendly, which is essential for us!

Boutique is fine

Nice location. The hotel is boutique with no restaurant or bar, but within walking distance of downtown Cambria. Good condition--bathroom tile showing some signs of wear and tear. The spa was okay. The technician was very good. It's not a full-service spa, but a private area of the second floor. It was mostly unmanned, no towels or robes stocked, no lockers to store cloths and valuables. There was hair on the floor and walls in the sauna--ick.

Couples getaway

We have been coming to Moonstone Beach for many years, and we had always wanted to try the El Colibri. The property is beautiful and backs up to a wooded creekside environment. The staff are very friendly, and the room was spotlessly clean. However, I am sorry to say the king bed was hard as a rock. Also, be sure to book spa treatments in advance, we were SOL but that is our fault. I would stay here again but please check on condition of matresses.

The Hotel is centrally located between Main Street and Moonstone Drive. Staff was helpful with plenty of recommendations. The Self Service Bar was not working during our visit and although they promote EV charging it is only for Tesla vehicles no matter if you have the adaptable charger. Water pressure in the shower was bad. But room was spacious and comfortable.
