Staff were very accommodating and relatively fluent in English. My room was clean a little cramped with three single beds in the room.
I appreciated the little veranda, it added a little space to the living area and provided some good separation for myself and my 18-year-old daughter who was busy on her phone quite often. It was a relatively easy walk to the cathedral, and there were many dining options
The rooftop pool was small, but big enough for about a dozen people, and they were places to sit that were shaded from the sun where you could have a drink if you so chose. I wish that the hotel had offered a gym. They did offer a breakfast for €24, which I found to be a turn off.
Whenever I left the hotel, I turned left and went into the older part of the city, which had its own charms and nice windy streets with cobblestones, and many culinary options. On the Sunday evening prior to my Monday departure, I discovered that if I had turned to my right and walked two blocks, I would be at the bridge crossing the river into Triana.. I was able to walk along the river and listen to some street musicians.
