Good location, clean linens, lots of blankets. Loved the stove in the kitchen. liked that one bedroom was downstairs. Driveway a bit scary to get out of, lacked a fire pit. Needs to have all drawers cleaned. Bathroom had hair and kitchen had food and hair in most drawers. Had prescription pills in downstairs dresser

Good place rough driveway

Overall great place to stay if you’re looking to get away. Definitely gives the cabin vibe. Great back patio to spend after being in the lake. Only down side is the giant rut in the drive way that is in need of filling. Girlfriends daughters Honda accord was not able to get down as it was on 2 wheels due to the giant rut to one side of the dirt driveway. I have a Jeep Cherokee and could navigate it with the right angle. There is a parking spot above but really they need to repair the driveway. In the winter with ice or snow someone could very very easily get stuck or worse.

Favorite fishing lake for husband - birthday celebration for recent deceased husband

The picture of home did not show the driveway which was slightly steep with large pot holes, had one time that car almost stuck in one of the pothole.s The barbecue grill was not clean and showed some rust. The stove plates were stained so when I walked in I was uneasy as to how clean home was going to be. When I wiped stove top I noticed with some elbow grease it could be cleaner. The home itself was a true cabin, outdated decor but served its purpose. Lots of fans, clean towels, and had hotel size products. Not sure if I would return based on driveway and cleanliness.

Not the best, but just ok.

Not our best experience with rentals at Shaver lake. Stinky trash was left inside and many dishes and utensils put away dirty. Linens were great. Dishwasher was worthless and kitchen faucet was in the process of being replaced.

Reviews are very accurate

It was so hot and there is no air (typical for the area), but the house was very uncomfortable in the evenings. There were lots of fans which helped. Beds were comfortable. Having two bathrooms was very nice. Kitchen was stocked fairly well. We did have to go purchase more trash bags and there wasn’t a large stock pot in the kitchen. Had dog bowls outside which was nice as well. Lots of towels which was appreciated as well. Washer and dryer was great to have as well.

Cabin was great and location was perfect. Overall this cabin is an excellent choice and I would stay and recommend it to others. One exception had to do with lighting. Kitchen lighting was not good at all with overhead lights not working. Cabin lighting is very dim

Miss my Trailer

My family and I booked this cabin last minute because of the overwhelming full hook-up reservations at Camp Edison. The Check-in process was very easy and the listing was pretty accurate to the listing. I did message the Manager if they offered early check-in, and they never responded so the communication was very poor. The cabin itself had a nice layout. However, inside the cabin looked like it was cleaned in a rush. There was dog hair on the couches, dust on certain tables throughout the cabin, and before I stepped into the downstairs shower, there was someone else's hair (even pubic hair). Beware on the outside of the cabin, in the driveway, it slants down significantly and is very hard to maneuver out since there are such huge holes and dips. Our Honda CRV got stuck in one of the big holes trying to back up the steep driveway. Only go down the driveway if you have 4x4! Would not recommend for smaller children or older adults because this could be dangerous. Some positives were: the deck (absolutely beautiful any time of the day), the location is nice and close to the town, the neighborhood is quite full with lots of other cabins but everyone was pretty quiet, we did enjoy the many plug-in fans but they were quite loud especially at night. Overall, my family and I did enjoy the stay but would have probably enjoyed it better in our travel trailer if I'm being completely honest.

Family vacation

This property is everything they said except for the driveway needs major repair!!! Very comfortable and perfect accommodations for our needs. Very relaxing atmosphere. Close to shopping, food and lakes. Easy check-in and check out. Wish check-out was noon but we managed.

Really nice

The cabin was perfect for our annual Shaver vacation. Every detail was covered to make the stay comfortable and convenient. Plenty of fans to keep in cool in the summer and games and dvds and videos for kids to watch.

Best Vacation!!

Honestly the best cabin we’ve stayed in. Clean and comfortable. Fresh linens waiting for us. Kitchen fully stocked. Cozy. Spacious enough for my family of 6. Felt like home for a few days. We will definitely be back!

Great mini vacation spot!

The house resembles a cabin and it worked well for us. It was a hop, skip, and a jump away from town. We walked there twice during our stay. It was a 5 minute drive to Shaver, a 10 minute drive to more secluded spots around the lake. The 2 bathrooms is a plus with 8 people in the house. Although the code did not work to open the door, the customer service was great and fast and we were able to get in with a key in a lock box. Someone was out there the next day to fix the code on the door. We enjoyed our stay!

Wonderful, cozy cottage.

We stayed in this cottage for a week. It is in the perfect location for everything. What down to town for groceries or lunch, head down for happy hour. It is literally 200 steps away. At the time we stayed, it was very quiet. The cabin is stocked with everything needed, especially the kitchen and the linens. There are more blankets than you would ever need. Also, there was a review that folks were cold. We had to continue to turn down the heater. It snowed, but a 62 degree setting was all we needed. We used the fireplace one evening and it was lovely with a glass of wine after spending the day in the snow. I have no complaints and would happily visit again. Cheers !!
