Great price

The bathroom was dated and the carpet was dusty when we checked in. The housekeeper was friendly, and the price was good value. However, overall, we wouldn’t choose to stay here again.

My husband and I got no sleep over the two nights we stayed. Firstly, our room faced Pitt St and it was so noisy. I sleep with earplugs normally but I could still hear very clearly, the noise from emergency vehicles, people racing down the street or just people talking. Secondly, our blind was stuck. It seemed like the window was left open (and perhaps why we could hear all the noise more so) but had this blind stuck closed, so we couldn’t open it to even see. The buffet breakfast savoury options were not good. The Boiled sausages, hard bacon and scrambled eggs were unappetising. They use to do omelettes which saved the breakfasts from previous stays but they no longer do them. This was my second stay at this hotel. I had a hiccup the first time I stayed with my family when the hotel knew the number of guests they needed to accommodated us, but gave us a room that could not fit everyone. In solution to that, said they would ‘upgrade me’ to a bigger room, only to pay $50 extra and saying I’m unlikely to return.
