The room was very nice but if it’s going to have a view of a wall, pigeons and nothing else then maybe advertise there’s no view at all so people may take a different level of room. Also we booked 2 rooms the same for our party and one was very definitely smaller and with an equally terrible view

I wanted to make this a special occasion for my partner. I called to arrange a bottle of champagne to be ready in the room, pre book a massage and dinner. Was told a form to book all this would be mailed to me. I had to call back 3 times just to get the booking link, and had to call again when none of the options were available and the payment link errored. How could ordering a bottle of champagne for a room be so hard for a large, notable Hotel? Ruined the special occasion. The only positive is that my partner said the room was okay. The bar, which didn’t require a booking, was also nice. Sorry, would not book again if the occasion is meant to be special.

The breakfast was outstanding although it wasn’t free as mentioned in the survey. The hotel was terrific - truly one of our favourite stays in Sydney’s in ages. We enjoyed our stay immensely - even if the TV reception was ‘patchy’.

Fabulous hotel. Great location. The room was spacious, beautifully appointed and very clean. Bathrooms are gorgeous. In room dining breakfast and dinner in The Commons were all excellent and the staff are lovely - friendly and responsive. A truly magical stay.
