Rooms were very outdated, not nice at all. Looked like a welfare motel because of many loud families running halls at all hours, people hanging in entrances and exits and parking lots making us feel uncomfortable and unsafe. Definitely not for vacationers
The front desk staff were personable and professional. The room was lacking comfort and cleanliness . The floors were dirty (I only walked barefoot from the bed to the shower and had so much dirt on my feet), there was a blue liquid stain on the bathroom floor in several places as well as the shower (it was easily able to be cleaned as I tried myself), there was a stain on the microwave door that was also easily able to be cleaned. The bed was quite uncomfortable and all of the ice machines in the inn were out of order.
Room was clean and a good size. Staff was friendly. Convenient location right of exit 105 of Garden State Parkway and about 20 minutes from beaches in Long Branch and Monmouth Beach.
It was awful, the worst place we've ever seen. Far worse than the pictures on Expedia page. Everything we saw was outdated. Although our room was a non smoking room, it smelled cigarettes and mold. The floor was sticky and hairs everywhere. We doubt they clean the rooms after guest leave. We didn't want to leave our belongings anywhere. Just disgusting. Since we were not dare enough to stay at this hotel even one night, we left and booked a room at another hotel. We complained Expedia our situation, but they didn't give us refund or discount, but just a small amount of credit. We hope no one will be tricked by the Photoshopped-images of this hotel on Expedia site.
Immediately walking in the room there's a weird smell, floors were sticky, found several families of roaches staying with us, along side the clear smoke stained walls and mold on the ceiling in some areas, and not to mention the complimentary cigarette holes in the comforter for an added touch. I don't think I will ever be staying at this inn or any Red Roof Inn in the near future. The week that we stayed I can tell our sheets weren't changed out or cleaned once, it barely felt like even the bare minimum was being done in terms of cleanliness. I've stayed at Motel 6's in better condition than this. Truly the worst stay I have ever had on any vacation. ever. The only good thing about the place was that the people working there were friendly enough, quite literally the only redeeming quality to the place.
The toilet did not flush properly and the shower water controls were either ice cold or scolding hot there was no in between. The mattress felt like it was made of all Springs with no cushion material in between

The staff was pretty helpful. However, the room we origionally were put in had a broken deadbolt (which made me feel unsafe) and the toilet seat fell off in my hand. We were then switched to another room and the 2 issues in the other room were now fixed. The SECOND night in the new room, i noticed a bug on the wall and at closer glance it was a COCKROACH.... and then there was ANOTHER ONE ON THE FLOOR UNDER THE SINK.... Ive been to manyyyyy hotels, motels, and Inns and i have NEVER seen roaches. All im sayin is... Red Roof is lucky i dont sue.
