Great motel! The art is incredible and the entire stay was part of the experience. We are definitely coming back and telling everyone we know to stay here when in Tucson. It was really cool.

Overall pretty good

The hotel was great, upon check in our room was a little warm but nothing a small adjustment didn't fix. Honestly it was a great stay, we definitely loved the temp controlled pool, but pool was a little dirty and I skimmed the pool myself. I got the family room with the bunk beds for my kids, but to my surprise neither of those beds had a blanket and I didn't know until the middle of the night when they woke me up and decided to tell me they were cold because all the had was a sheet. Besides that our stay was good, I'd def recommend.

This was our second stay at Hotel McCoy. We Really like the property and the staff is super nice. However the room we stayed in was super hot. The room air conditioner did not seem to be working properly. We informed the front desk staff.

I have stayed at here before, and the team of staff are outstanding. Personable, helpful, and they make the check in easy and the experience here memorable! I enjoy the eclectic atmosphere, and the bar, pool and all the artwork in the rooms and on the property. This hotel is convenient and an exceptional value! I absolutely plan to stay here again when next in Tucson.

Hotel McCoy is a great place to stay if you're on a budget. They've done a great job redecorating and updating the place to provide a hip and fun atmosphere. But keep in mind the building is still a mid-century budget motor lodge, which means the rooms are small and they all look out onto a giant parking lot, so if one of your neighbors happens to drive a loud Harley and returns from a night out, you will hear his bike roaring in and out whether you like it or not. The air conditioning works well to cover most of the noise from outside, but that also means you'll be listening to it all day and night. If you don't confuse this place with a luxury hotel and don't mind the motel aesthetic you'll have a nice stay.

My stay was very UNcomfortable. It was the temperature in my room that made it a bad stay. I stayed In June 2025 it was extremely hot, outside and inside the room. 2 hours after I checked in, I requested another room because the first room was really hot. They did switch my room and it was the same. The room felt as if it was 85 to 90° inside. I believe it's because the air condition unit was in the back of the room and there was a wall divider so it was cool in the room in the morning and in the evening but the rest of the day was hot. The other issue was that the floors were extremely dirty. I had read that on one of the other reviews and I thought it couldn't be that bad. It actually was, the floors felt sticky. I don't think that they mop them. The rest of the hotel was nice. It had a really nice vibe. Nice amenities but I would wake up sweating from naps. I'd be pouring down with sweat when I would be getting dressed. It was just gross. Personally, I would not recommend you get a double bed there. I had a double queen bed room and it gave me so many problems because of the heat. I will say my son and a couple of friends had gotten the family room with the bunk beds and their room was warm but it was not near as hot as mine. So I would say to pay the extra money if you're going to stay there for the other room. I did try to switch while I was there to the other room but they said it wasn't available.

We love it here!! This was our second time staying at Hotel Mccoy Tucson. Same great vibe as before, pool was so nice, the new pinball arcade was a great way to spend the quarters I keep on my car for car wash vacuums. Staff is all super friendly, local beers were ice cold and delicious. 10/10, do recommend!

This place was cute, but upon arrival we were met with an angry staff member yelling at us to park somewhere else, while trying to check in. After a long drive that was the last thing we looked forward too. This motel is not accommodating for U-Hauls. The staff expected us to detach a heavy loaded U-Haul trailer. Or for us to park off the property across the street. Which was not an option for us. Gladly one of the other staff members was helpful and allowed to park in front of the pool area. But that husky woman was rude and kept making remarks under her breath. But aside of that. It is a very clean and cute motel. Just know if your traveling through w a U-Haul this isn’t the place for you!

I have stayed here many times, but it seems the last time before this the floor was dirty, as it was this time.The shower water was hot. I always bring my own fan because the room is not cold, but cool. Other than that its okay, good view, near the I-10 freeway, and many restaurants in the area.
