Old, Rusty Doors, Not well kept

We looked up this hotel. My wife went for a family function. The facility is old, rusty doors and not well kept. She canceled half the booking and was not charged for it. We check reviews prior to booking so this was a big surprise.

Our family's stay at the hotel was enjoyable. This is our third visit, and while we appreciate the quiet atmosphere, it does make us a bit nervous. The cleanliness is good, but it could be improved to excellent. The breakfast options are decent, but offering more healthier, less sugary items and increased protein choices would be beneficial. The staff is very friendly. We hope they continue to enforce the no-smoking policy to maintain a calm and harmonious environment.

I paid a premium for the water view, and it was worth every minute of it. My only suggestion would be that the place spend some money updating the interior hallways with new flooring and paint, the stairwells should be rubber, coated, and railing repainted, the rooms went to a laminate flooring, which is noisy. It would be better to go to a luxury vinyl tile flooring in the suite would be better suited with a table and some chairs for dining. The pool area and beach area are worth staying here again.

So so…

Hallways were pretty dirty as was the room and the pool. Had to ask for the room to be cleaned properly three times on our first night there. I appreciate the fact that that they try to make their mistakes right, but there were a lot of things that needed to be fixed.

My sister is in a wheelchair and the pool and private beach were very accessible for her. The room did not seem cramped and it was clean. I would suggest housekeeping help get the sand off of the floors, but I asked for a broom and was able to get rid of most of it. The breakfast was good. The staff was very courteous and helpful.

I loved the water view and would pay for the same experience. The woman in the front told us about this local pizzeria and we decided to try it out. We love the electric car ride to the place and then the staff of the pizzeria was also amazing. Overall the whole island is beautiful. 10/10
