Kaunis, rauhallinen Woodstock Mountain House, jossa poreallas ja pingispöytä

Koti on yksinäinen ja lämmin, mutta siinä on kaikki modernit mukavuudet. Se sijaitsee neljän metsäisen hehtaarin keskellä, eikä mitään muuta taloa ole näkyvissä, mutta se on vain 1. 8 mailin päässä Woodstockin kaupungin keskustasta. Ostin sen kesällä 2013 ja olen nauttinut monista rentouttavista viikonloppuista poissa NYC: stä.

Alkuperäinen sisustus on täynnä lämpimiä, oksaisia mäntyseiniä, parketit ja puulämmitteinen takka. Syksyllä 2013 muutin viereisen taiteilija-studion Great Roomiksi. Siinä on nyt katedraalin mäntykatot, puupalkit ja vaaleat mäntylattiat. Siinä on myös upouusi, täytetty Room & Board -sohva ja kiesit, upouusi pingispöytä, kaasuliede ja 55-tuumainen televisio DirecTV: n kanssa.

Kodissa on kaksi makuuhuonetta, kaksi kylpyhuonetta ja pesukone ja kuivaaja. Päämakuuhuoneessa on oksaisia mäntykatedraalin kattoja, Russell Wright -kalusteet, upouusi, laadukas king-patja ja oma yksityinen toisen kerroksen kansi. Toisessa makuuhuoneessa on myös katedraalin katot, maalatut oksaiset mäntyseinät ja katto, upouusi queen-vuode ja päivävuode, joka voidaan muuntaa kuninkaaksi. Vuodepatjat ovat kaikki korkealaatuisia, aivan uusia ja erittäin mukavia.

Keittiössä on kaikki: kaasuliesi, iso jääkaappi, astianpesukone, mikroaaltouuni ja kaikki tarvittavat ruoanlaittovälineet, kattilat ja pannut ja astiat. Keittiö johtaa rauhalliselle seulotulle takakuistilla, joka näyttää siniselle kivi patiolle ja ulos metsään. Neljä askelta ylöspäin terassilta on aivan uusi kylpytynnyri, joka näyttää ulos talosta.

Etupiha on kauniisti maisemoitu sinisillä kivi kulkutiet ja portaat. Noin 100 metriä talon puolelle - edelleen kiinteistöllä - on vuoren virta.
Tämä loma-asunto sijaitsee vain lyhyen kävelymatkan päässä kohteesta Catskill State Park. Majoituspaikassa on saatavilla poreallas ja pyykinpesutilat. Loma-asunnossa tarjoaa asiakkaiden käyttöön esimerkiksi keittiön ja 2 kylpyhuonetta.

Mountainside Haven

The house is cozy while having everything you need in a getaway. Views out to trees out of every window. Screened in porch was a particularly lovely feature. It was comfortably furnished as the entire house was. David was attentive to every need.Secluded but also near town. Great.

Peaceful, cozy get away

We had a lovey time at this home. The decor is tasteful, comfortable, and cozy. The bedrooms were large and there was a small living room with a fireplace and a large great room with a very easy to use gas stove. We had cozy evenings with the fire going. The setting is very peaceful and quiet. Everything was clean even for picky me. David was easy to work with and laid back but responsive. We will definitely return!

Place was perfect for what we needed. The lockbox was not easy to find and was not well lit. We arrived after dark and minimal amount of lighting was provided. Fee of $125 for Vrbo is ridiculously high. Cleaning fee for that area is also high. Our office gets cleaned where I work and she cleans 3 hours for $100. All they have to do is change the sheets and wiped down a bathroom.

Beautiful setting, good communication

Really wonderful location; the first thing we ntoiced was how quiet and secluded the house was, yet we were only a 5 minute car drive from the center of Woodstock. Couldn't be better. The house is large, though a bit old, but the owner was very amenable and responsive to all our requests.

Rustic retreat near Woodstock

Great rustic home in a very secluded setting in the mountains above Woodstock. 6 minutes to eclectic popular town of Woodstock with shops and great restaurants and bars. We enjoyed the screened in porch and some ping pong. The AC units are not in bedrooms so it could get a little warm in hotter weather, but we were mostly comfortable since it was cool for July and the house is nicely shaded.

Wonderful Return Stay

My husband and I returned to this property after a magical stay a few years ago. We are happy to report it has been beautifully maintained and is as special as ever. While the weather did not cooperate with us, we felt so lucky to be rained/snowed in with a house that has so much charm and comfort to offer. We cooked great meals in the well-stocked kitchen, took advantage of the fireplace and hot tub, and broke our record for longest sustained volley on the ping pong table. We found our favorite spots for reading and playing games in the dreamy great room. We enjoyed a couple of restaurants and shopping in town (wonderful to be so close). While weather got in the way of our hiking plans, we took a terrific day trip to the FDR site in Hyde Park less than an hour away. We’d come back again, it’s so lovely!

Great Mountain Getaway

My husband and I rented this house for our anniversary vacation this October. We wanted to peaceful and private mountain getaway and that is exactly what we had in this comfortable and cozy home. Everything was immaculately clean and extremely comfortable. The kitchen was well equipped for cooking. The fireplace in the living room was fantastic on a couple of chilly rainy nights. My husband enjoy the screened in porch and the hot tub just outside the porch. Sitting in the living room looking out the big picture window gave you the feeling of being in a treehouse, seeing the tree top in the distance and watching the leaves fall, it was absolute heaven. The owner David was easy to communicate with. I would definitely recommend this house for a lovely mountain getaway. Great for a couple or small family.

Mountain getaway

My wife and I stayed here for a week long vacation and we absolutely loved it! Beautiful location with wildlife all around. There was actually some wild turkeys on the front porch when we first arrived! The house was exactly how it is described and pictured. We particularly enjoyed the screened in porch on a few rainy mornings. We did have some communication with David while we were there since the one morning I woke up to a dripping kitchen ceiling. But David was very responsive and accommodating to the issue. And He ensured we still had a wonderful, relaxing stay! I would recommend this place to anyone who wants a rejuvenating vacation getaway in the majestic Catskill Mountains.

Magical autumn retreat

My husband and I hosted my parents in this cabin for a long weekend and we all had a wonderful stay. The house is perfectly appointed and even nicer than it appears in the pictures. The gorgeous screen porch where we could sit and hear the babbling brook was an especially pleasant surprise. The wood fireplace, gas fireplace, and hot tub were especially lovely when the autumn nights turned chilly. The kitchen was perfect for cooking and enjoying meals together. The property is a nature lover’s paradise: we heard barred owls outside the bedroom windows and glimpsed a duo of turkeys roosting in the trees high above the hot tub. The host was gracious, communicative, and easy to reach about everything. Highly recommended.

11-day exploration of The Hudson Valley

We had a great stay in Woodstock. The house was comfortable enough for us to spread out, enjoy the setting, the pair of deer who greeted us on our first day, and more. We had to reach out to Dave a few times for a couple of minor issues that were fixed immediately. We wouldn't hesitate to rent this house again. We had a great vacation.

Lovely home in the perfect location.

The perfect home for a weekend getaway. The kitchen was well stocked, the beds were comfy and the kids loved the ping pong. We loved waking up to the view of the trees and the sounds of the birds. Very easy to get to town. Would stay here again. David was very helpful with answering all our questions.

Home away from home

We've stayed at the property at least 6 times with growing family and it still has the magic it held the first time we visited. The owner keeps the place pristine and is a pleasure to work with. Can't wait to come back!
