This is an oldie but goody! The structure, & architecture of this building is still incredible 30 years later! Just a beautiful atrium hotel. It’s that timeless 80’s style (the good kind). This hotel makes me feels almost like it should be in Vegas or something, but without the slot machines. The rooms have been beautifully updated, with some really cool furniture. The bathroom was very simple, but still a nice space although a little small. Also, if you take the Marta Train from the Airport and get off at the Peachtree Station…. You can just walk upstairs and through a building and across a bridge and walk right into the hotel. A one way trip cost me $3.50, so I would not suggest taking an Uber unless I was arriving really late, or leaving really early in the morning.

We were pleased that the hotel’s location made it easy to visit many of the landmarks on our list by walking. However, I was unable to check in using the Marriott app because our room wasn’t ready even by 8 PM. Upon arrival, we waited about 20 minutes in line to speak with guest services. The representative who helped us was friendly and explained that king rooms were sold out, despite our reservation and payment for that room type. After checking availability, she was able to secure a king room for us on the 4th floor, which we appreciated. Unfortunately, the room’s cleanliness left much to be desired. The carpet had visible stains and some leftover trash from previous guests. The chair and comforter also had noticeable stains. While it’s understandable that a high-traffic property experiences some wear and tear, the level of upkeep shouldn’t vary so much from room to room.

Nice stay with a few downsides. I booked a double queen room on the 23rd floor that offered a beautiful view, but I’d rate the room itself a 3/5. The beds were smaller than standard queens and not very comfortable — older spring mattresses that have definitely seen a lot of use. The room was cleaned daily, though one time the linens had brown spots. The carpet could use a deeper clean, and the mini-fridge was small and kept turning off after a couple of hours. WiFi was not complimentary and required payment, and overnight valet parking was $60. On the bright side, the pool was warm and clean, which made for a great experience on a chilly evening. The fitness room was also well-maintained with plenty of equipment. A couple of practical notes — two elevators were out of service, which made getting between floors slower. The hotel itself was quite busy with multiple events going on. I felt safe inside, though just down the street there’s unfortunately a noticeable homelessness presence.
