Floorboards all creak excessively in rooms and corridors. Many workmen staying and doors banging shut from 5 am onwards and walking in corridor clearly heard in the room. Charge for full breakfast on menu does not include porridge and this was charged extra at the same price as a full breakfast. When asked to see the manager a response was the manager was too busy to see us. The cost for porridge was eventually removed. Will not return!

We checked in late and the hotel seemed busy or we would of asked if there was a different room. The bathroom was the problem with black mould, something dirty on the bath. The floor in the bathroom was coming up. We were going to a family party or we would of cancelled what we were doing and went home.

There was a nice big parking lot. The rooms were ok, the beds weren't the most comfortable. The staff and receiptionist were very nice. There is a pub right next door. The room itself was disappointing and lacking general upkeep. For a budget stay, it was ok.

Great hotel, staff were friendly and lovely all around. Our room was above the bar and two of the three nights they had live music - we didn’t know and thus had live music coming up through the floor until 11pm. So just be mindful of which room you book and/or if there’s going to be live entertainment. Otherwise, great location for sight seeing, wonderful little town, food was excellent on site!

The room I had for two nights was a large spacious room. Bathroom was big with a shower and tub separate. They had a tv but was never able to connect to it to watch regular tv. The room did smell of urine and not sure if that was a plumbing issue or they allowed pets that used the room for their bathroom. The bed was two single beds out together, but the side I slept on ended up sucking in the center more each night. I felt like I was almost in a cocoon by the time I left.

Bo'ness is hard to access by public transport which is hardly the hotel's fault. The hotel is a bit of a hike up hill from the town - only half a mile but steep for an elderly person. Hotel was all good apart from wi-fi not reaching my top floor room. Staff were friendly and very helpful. Bar menu and breakfast were simple (that's a complement for bar food) and freshly cooked. Didn’t try the restaurant menu.
