Jump on the free ski shuttle for a day on the slopes before returning to River Mountain Lodge by Breckenridge Hospitality for a meal at the restaurant or a drink at the bar/lounge. Great downtown access

I think it is common for properties in ski areas to show a little wear, and that is true of River Mountain Lodge. However, the entire place including our unit is very well maintained, and the staff is helpful and courteous. The location so close to the middle of town cannot be beat for access to shopping and the gondola. And the onsite tiki bar is a very fun place. I was impressed as well that the guy taking care of the hot tubs actually knew the target temperature for the tubs. (We used two of them, and the temp was around the 101 to 102 range, which while not as hot as I prefer was very agreeable.)

The resort has a shuttle right in front of the building to bring you to the gondola up to the mountain. Staff is all wonderful. Steps away from Main Street were there are a ton of restaurants and shops

Convenient, yet cold

Location was convenient to slopes and area restaurants and shops. However, couldn’t get the unit to heat up over 65 degrees. Didn’t want to set the thermostat too high but it didn’t matter, regardless of setting 65 was as warm as it got. Spent a lot of time in front of the fireplace.

Loft bedroom with Murphy bed and separate bathrooms were exactly what we were looking for. Kitchen very well appointed. The lodge is directly across the street from the Four O’Clock Run, very, very convenient! Parking was easy, but for mid size suv and cars / not for gigantic trucks and suvs. Excellent location all around. I would return.

Stayed for 6 nights. Excellent location. Great parking. Walking distance to Gondola (less than a 5 minute walk). Very basic accommodations. Simple maid service such as trash and towels is an up-charge which is crazy considering the hotel nightly rate. I'd expect a bit more "luxury" but I guess you're paying for location rather than experience.

The rooms were small. They were way too hot and could not cool the room down. Can't open the window. Very bad nights sleep because the room was too hot. Front desk said there was nothing they could do about it.
