Phenomenal ocean view, wonderful staff, very good food especially the 2 a la carte restaurants. Our suite was very big, clean and overlooked the ocean.Only complaints are that the room doors slammed loudly which was annoying and our room was an adjoining one so we could hear the guests next door which was upsetting to us seeing how we paid a lot and we expected more privacy.

Oleo is such a nice little resort. All of the staff was a 10/10 they’re very friendly and accommodating. The room was also a 10/10 way bigger than I thought with a beautiful view of the water. My only complaint was the food. The options are just too limited with only 3 actually free restaurants (cafe isn’t free unless you’re getting ice cream) and the options in each were limited. I’d give the food a 6.5/10. Azul has the best food especially the Sunday menu. But overall the resort was nice and quiet, on the smaller side but I preferred it that way. Felt safe . 8/10 overall experience

Overall, the service at this hotel is excellent. The only thing that I wasn’t very happy with was setting boundaries with some of the other tenants. In my experience, there were tendons laid at night having a gathering at the outside sitting area of the hotel rooms. They were loud. I called the front desk. They came and talked to the attendance, but unfortunately, this people did not remove themselves from that area keeping on being loud.

The hotel desperately needs a lot of TLC. The guest rooms are very dated and need remodeling. My room on the ninth floor had no hot water and for two days on my 4 night stay. i complained at the front desk but the issue was not resolved. Guest service was not concerned. The Phone lines and Wifi work sporadically. when ordering room service we had to got to the lobby to order food.

Gorgeous entrance & reception areas! We were greeted warmly and were in our room quickly even though we arrived an hour before check-in time. We were surprised to find delicious macarons & a bottle of champagne awaiting. The room was nice. Everything was very clean and fresh. Beds were comfy. Service throughout the week was exceptional in every area of the property. The pool area was kept immaculately clean. They kept things fun with games & activities. The Brown Bag (coffee shop) was very nice. We’d stop and get a latte on the way to Azul for breakfast most mornings. They also had self serve ice cream - yum! We purchased an excursion to Isla Mujeres at a good price and throughly enjoyed the experience! Dinner at Hakka (Asian) was quite tasty! We loved the salad bar at Almar. The poolside buffet was pretty good and convenient. Breakfast at Azul was nice, offering eggs cooked up fresh while you wait. Spa was fantastic! Things that need attention: food quality is far beneath the rest of the experience. It seems many things were prepared in advance and kept warm, resulting in dried out food, particularly meats. In Azul (buffet), there were theme nights, but the content was mostly the same. We chose things cooked fresh at the grill when possible. Almar (Mediterranean) had dried out sea bass, and rubbery pasta- heartbreaking!! The desserts were bland everywhere, mostly gelatinous and odd. Walls were thin—it was noisy. Overall, good for the price, would possibly return.
