This hotel is clean but dated. Was fine enough for vacation but I can say for the money I was not impressed. The service was fantastic and speedy and the servers were friendly. Food was not great, and we had a lot of challenges getting accurate information about anything. We’d ask questions from staff and get conflicting information. We were sent to the wrong place to catch our ferry and ended up having to take an uber thorough a very questionable area to get where we needed to go and then ended up having to buy a different ferry ticket to avoid the trouble on the return trip. We asked about food reservations and were told one thing but then asked someone else and the answers were different. We asked about shuttle to the sister property and again were told two different things by both ppl we asked. A bit challenging.

Todo bien con las instalaciones, la suite perfecta. Donde creo que no vale la pena es la comida en los restaurants Veranda y Sizal bien. Solo que nadie te dice cuando reservas que no incluyen ciertos platillos y bebidas por las que tendràs que pagar extra incluyendo cervezas!!! El sports bar y sushi, la comida mala y parece que te están dando muestras no el platillo completo. Las bebidas en la alberca, malas, muy diluidas, poco alcohol y mucha azucar.

If you are looking to have some quiet and relaxed vacation, Royal Sands resort is the place. The property is well maintained with lots of staffs to make the cleanliness top notch. Food, drinks and services were really good

We just returned from the RS on Saturday April 12 after a 7-night stay in an ocean front 1-bedroom deluxe suite. Now before I go into this review, I'll say that your experience is going to be decided by your expectations before you arrive. We have been to 7 or 8 resorts in Cancun from the top down to the bottom, so we know what we like and what's value for money. This place is fantastic. No you don't get a grand marble entrance / reception area but it's nice and very clean. The food is VERY GOOD for all inclusive. Especially the room service and the food from the pool bar. The shrimp tacos are the best I've ever had. The phase 1 pool is massive, plenty of room for everyone during our stay. The beach is beautiful, lovely white sandy beach with 3-400 feet of turquoise water in front of you. Drinks service to the beach was as good as around the pool, it helps if you drop them a $20 right off the bat. The servers are very friendly and very willing to help with any request. The buffet has a decent selection of food, very tasty. It is a bit dated in decor, but I don't see the value in paying more for fancy stuff I'm looking at for 15-20 mins a day. The food is good, that's what matters. We have already booked to go back in August this year and will probably make this our new vacation spot for the foreseeable future. Finally, it's not a Hyatt Zilara, not many are, so if you want the top end with all the frills you'll be disappointed. This is a SOLID resort when others are not.

The property and staff were great! What was disappointing was booking an all inclusive resort then finding out specific items on the menu and drinks had “surcharges”. You pay extra if you wanted those items. Kiddie cocktails also had surcharges… At the end of your stay, you get a bill.
