This was an odd mix of excellent and terrible. The staff were amazing, friendly, and helpful. The hotel is conveniently located- right off I-29 and around a lot of entertainment options. The whole area, both inside and out, are well maintained. Breakfast was simple and as expected. But the room? At first it looked perfect, but then we noticed the bedspread and pillows felt damp. The vinyl floor and walls were damp. The AC was set at 63- not a problem- we set it at 73. The mirrors fogged up with cold condensation. Our insulated bottles started to sweat (and they never do). The room didn’t warm up so after a hour we shut the AC off. We thought that would help the dampness, but the room actually got wetter. By morning, it was like someone spilled water on the floor. The hallway and lobby weren’t like this so something is definitely wrong with that room but we couldn’t find anyone to tell when we checked out. Now I’m sneezing and congested. Strangest experience ever.

You don’t feel like you’re at a Microtel at all!

First and foremost Kathleen at the front desk from 3-11 was amazing! We got to see her all three nights we were there. The hotel over all was in a great location and very clean and friendly. My only complaint was we couldn’t get any sleep at all. The overnight and morning staff weren’t enforcing quiet times and the family above us had uncontrolled kids which kept us up until after midnight every night and woke us up by 6am. Kind of hard to relax and enjoy a get away when you’re exhausted. Yes, the staff was informed and asked to contact the family, more than once. Other than the lack of sleep I would stay here again. My kiddo will be starting college up the road and finding a place close to stay at close to visit him is important.

Worst hotel stay

This was the worst hotel stay. We were given Room 117… despite the set of ear plugs provided we heard everything and did not sleep much. By everything I mean the sliding doors, the elevator sing, every conversation (esp the one right by our door at 5am), every footstep (next to and above) and every door close. The room has zero sound proofing, which should have been budgeted for in their ‘renovation’. Our full day of driving was torture given the mayyybe 5 hours of sleep we got. Staff showed zero empathy when we listed the issues next morning and directed us to email the manager. I have not heard back at all.

Zoo Trip

We were very pleased with our stay. Only complaints( dissatisfaction) was not getting clean towels during our stay which was rectified by self swapping with very friendly staff and the water pressure in the shower could have been a bit better. Overall we would definitely recommend this property to others and would use it again ourselves
