A wee treat

Stayed for 2 nights after visiting family in Dubai. Arrived early which didn’t seem to matter as we were checked in immediately. Very friendly and helpful staff, the room with view over the creek was amazing and extremely comfortable. The pools were brilliant and clean. Good location if you want shopping, it’s next to festival mall. Great break all round 😎

Other than the location being good, I wouldn’t recommend. We were told by Crowne that breakfast would be available for the first two mornings at the Intercontinental Hotel next door. What wasn’t made clear was that the room actually came with breakfast for three and not just for two. Something was destined to go wrong and it did! We paid for one additional breakfast on the first day of our five day stay at Crowne. We notified management of the issue the next morning. Yet, our Check Out was delayed and flight almost missed on account of management’s inefficiency to refund the 145 AED in a timely manner. The hovering waitresses at Crowne also made the mealtime experience very uncomfortable as you felt rushed so they could clear the table. Plus, the food was just ok compared to the other hotel. We also never got towels for 3 and constantly had to call down for the extra towels. Crowne does NOT have microwaves. Also, your travel power adapter may NOT be compatible to their outlets and the outlets are in obscure areas if compatible.

Had a very enjoyable stay at Crowne Plaza, Festival City. Festival City itself is served by a small boat to and from Creek harbour and then a walk to Creek metro station. It would be better if the green metro line was connected all the way to this part of Dubai. The hotel itself was very good. The only slight negative is that breakfast options are not as extensive as other hotels, I have stayed in, when in Dubai. However, buffet dinner at the Anise restaurant is out of this world. The hotel staff are all super friendly and really cannot do enough for guests. I would not put anyone of staying here as its very convenient for Festival City mall if you want to eat out or go shopping.
