The hotel felt grungy and the room had an inescapable, offensive, musty odor. The halls also had a uniquely funky smell. Parking was easy enough to access in the parking garage across the street, but it was pricey (even with the discount), corners were tight and the garage was filthy. The reception staff were polite, but overall, the whole experience felt kinda sketchy.
Not what we expected. The hotel is dated. AC in the room wasn’t working. Extremely limited options available for in room dining. No sound proofing. You can hear everything that’s happening in the rooms next door.
In the plus side, the location of the hotel is very central. Front desk team we dealt with, especially Sophia, were very professional, accommodating and caring. We appreciated that.
We stayed at this hotel for just one night while we took a flight to the United States the next day. Our room was delivered early after arriving by train from Belfast, which was excellent as it allowed us to walk around the city and explore some of the sites important to the history of the band U2. This place is practically meters from the famous Temple Bar and the Ha'Penny Bridge, highly recommended for exploring on foot and enjoying the area. It's across from a Tesco, so it's easy to get basic necessities or groceries, as well as restaurants and bars. This place is highly recommended. The staff is super friendly, and the breakfast is exceptional, with a wide variety of options. The person at the desk helped us get a taxi the next morning to the airport. You could say the desk and breakfast staff are practically five-star. Thank you for making our stay special!
Nice room, very comfortable and with quiet aircon unit and good shower. Great pillows! Check in was quick and professional. Breakfast was ok. Great location for Temple bars with all the didly didly music I have grown to hate. But I go elsewhere.
The positives: Great location (if Temple Bar is your thing), very friendly staff, reasonably priced.
The negatives: The air conditioning turns itself off after a little while - on purpose! This is apparently due to eco considerations. Fair enough, I guess (tho Ireland couldn't affect climate change if it wanted). But I don't stay at hotels without air conditioning and I don't think this was clear on the listing - at least, I certainly didn't see anything to this effect. Wouldn't stay here again for this reason. The coffee shop down the street has AC - I assume this is because they like their customers to be comfortable. I also like to be comfortable when I sleep. Also while the room was orderly, there was a couple of stains on the carpet where it looked like maybe someone had barfed. These things happen and it looked as if an attempt had been made to clean it, but I could still see it. Also some noticeable splotches on the tiles in the bathroom that (I hope) were just water or something. Another small item but kind of annoying: the TV has wireless connectivity for Android but not Apple. My last hotel could connect an iPhone easily and without issue - so this is a decision someone has made. Apple has a near 30% market share of global smartphones (and near 60% in North America) - it may be worth exploring a solution for such a huge portion of your customer base (there is hilariously an option to connect using some connection kit nobody has but I'm talking wireless).
Great location in the middle of Dublin. Everything is walking distance. Nice people. Great restaurant/bar.

Liked: Staff & service
This is a 3 Star hotel. The beds were comfortable and it was quiet considering it was next door to Hard Rock Cafe very close to Temple Bar area. The walls were thin so you hear people banging around there luggage and the maids cleaning. There are a lot of lamp shades in the room that needed dusted. But overall it was clean. The staff was very friendly.
The Morgan hotel is really excellent. Our experience was so good. It's right in the center of Temple Bar, which is great if you want to experience this aspect of Dublin. Of course, there's lots of activity around there, but we found the noise to not bother us in the room, and everything got quiet by midnight or so. It's walkable to everywhere, which is what we ended up doing and loved it. The bed was very comfortable. We only ate at the hotel for breakfast, which served the purpose of getting us fed without effort, though the buffet was not spectacular. The staff was super helpful and solicitous. All in all a wonderful experience.
Great hotel, but it's in the heart of Temple Bar. Temple bar is very crowded and noisy, which is fine if you are looking for restaurants, pubs and entertainment. If you want a quieter experience, choose a hotel in another part of the city
Location perfect within walking distance of everything. Saturday can be noisy due to the crowd at temple bar. Breakfast is excellent and the staff are too, the staffs were polite helpful and welcoming.
Decor and ambience of the hotel is very nice, nice bar area and a small courtyard. Comfy beds with good blackout curtains. TV is smart but does not have apps. Great size rooms we were very comfortable and had very good night sleeps.
Lovely hotel!! Let us check in early next much was so convenient! The only fault I can thing of is the pillows but I reckon if it really bothered you you could get other ones xx
Stayed at The Morgan Hotel on my trip to Ireland and I was so pleased with my stay! Great staff, clean, spacious hotel rooms and super comfy beds! I will definitely be back the next time I’m in Dublin!
