The elevator broke a couple times Its the only IHG ive been to that didnt have complimentary breakfast or coffee and juices to get yourself. With the cost of the hotel, the construction that wasnt advertised, the least they couldve done was comp breakfast and coffee and juices.

Great for families!

Everything was great the first 2 nights! We loved it. Pat was wonderful with the kids, the rooms were SO clean and we all had a blast because of the amazing staff!!! We have had a lot of face painting, but this resort's face painter was THE BEST!!! Breakfast was AMAZING!! Activities were great - we loved everything!!!! I am a bit upset because last night (our last night) I was awake all night long and scared. Around 2:21 am I looked at the clock - the guests next door to us were screaming and yelling at each other and being very loud -- banging against the walls. I secured all of our doors and prayed to God that we would be safe through their fighting, but I knew that they had young kids, so I was overly anxious hoping that their little guys could weather a storm like what kept me up. I contemplated calling the front desk and the police. After an afternoon of pondering what happened, I called the hotel tonight, and first was hung up on. Second, the manager on duty did not care to discuss. It was very clearly a big issue (not only to me - even the breakfast waitresses made it clear how unruly this particular group was - I'm shocked they were awake for breakfast!) I never would write a negative review about our fun time. But being treated like this when trying to report a SERIOUS situation is not acceptable.

its under some renovation but was there just friday night so it didnt really impact us. had a great water view and Rooms are nice. Was convenient having a bar/lounge and restaurant. What i didnt like was having to enter the rooms from outside, especially since it was really cold when we were there.

Checked in with my Best friend and I was put on the 2nd floor, and she was put on the 7th floor. I was told I would have an ocean view. (Ah, way off to the left, barely) 2nd floor was not renovated yet. Shower curtain rode falling. My friend on the 7th floor had a renovated room. Noise-There was a band in the bar and the bass was so loud till midnight and it was a week night! Transportation-we as a group purchased a ride in the hotel shuttle. We got off the ship and was waiting in the pick up area at 9:20. Waited. Shuttles for other places came and went. We called the hotel and they said it would be 10-15 minutes. The time came a went. We called several other times and got the same answer. We waited over an hour and half. Finally had to pay for an Uber out of pocket. Very disappointing.

The place was going through a renovation so it was loud and messy. Had we have known before we booked we would have stayed in a different place. The staff were ok except the bartender was quite unfriendly however he made good drinks. There was garbage blown around the parking lot and didn’t see anyone cleaning it up the whole time we were there.overall poor experience

Hotel is renovating. Notice was not given that there is construction going on. A discount for the inconvenience should have been offered. “Resort” should be removed from the name, there were no resort type activities or accommodations.

Good customer service bar and restaurant options in the hotel with good food and entertainment. On the sea wall so very walkable with lots of eating and shopping options close. The hotel is older. Not the cleanest place and renovations were being done. Prices were inflated - likely due to Mardi Gras during our stay. Would consider staying again when renovation is complete with a more reasonable price point. Could definitely stay in the same area for less money in a nicer space.

Terrible Hotel

We booked and paid top dollar for this room months in advance and picked this property because it was an on the beach resort. We paid top dollar and could have stayed at numerous hotels for 1/2 the price. But being a Resort, let's stay here. We were given a room that had a foul odor to it, was a little dirty and had a fantastic ocean view of their boiler room! No ocean view at all. Should have cancelled the room and gone somewhere else, but we were leaving on a bad boy 10-day Caribbean Cruise the next day, so we just went to bed. I would not recommend this property to anyone. Stay in a real resort! There are plenty down there! This place was a joke!!!

I was informed at check in time that the service was out due to construction but that I could stream. I couldn’t do either. The room was not cleaned very well. I woke up to the construction that the front desk mentioned in regards to the cable service.It was so loud all morning until I checked out. I didn’t know that it was right outside the room. The hotel is convenient to everything. I stayed here a few years ago but the service and cleanliness has changed since then.

Constructions is happening which was very loud. We were out in handicap room on the first floor right next to entrance door and the elevators. And near pool entrance door people were talking all night and in and out all night. We got no sleep.

We made the reservation not knowing anything about Galveston. We needed cruise parking and a shuttle. The hotel is easy to drive to from my home in Oklahoma. It has a restaurant on site. All the staff are top notch. We could walk a short distance and find anything we needed.
