Smelly sweet good times

Lots of mirrors… the big hot tub was a nice touch, but it was janky and broken in some parts. The room smelled of old days of galloping around nude chasing your company with an inflatable pool toys. Well, the fireplace is good for romance as well, the carpet feels musty and the air is damp… the curtains don’t close completely so unless you’re an exhibitionist you’ll love it! All in all, the check in was easy and quick, the room was a relic of the good ol’ party days you had in you, the bed was comfy enough for tired bones after a lot of walking the strip of Gatlinburg or Smoky Mountain exploring.

My husband and I went for our 25th anniversary. Absolutely love our stay here. The creek in the back is gorgeous! Indoor pool and hot tub wonderful!!! The convenience of having the trolley stop in front was awesome!! Won’t regret staying here!!

This place was terrific. Pools were great, nice and clean. Friendly staff. The amenities were plentiful. It is a tad dated, but nothing bad. Would stay again. We loved the in-room whirlpool tub. The fireplace would be awesome in the cooler weather.

We loved the spacious room. Bathroom was on the small size. The fireplace was unique in the corner. I loved the rocking chairs that were out on the balcony. The Poolside Cafe was a nice place to eat. Not much of a wait for food. We had breakfast and a dinner there.

STAY HERE! STOP LOOKING

As someone who has been in hospitality for 25 years and currently works at the number one treehouse resort in America that is a five-star experience, I was absolutely thrilled with this hotel. The history, it was built so long ago, but nice. And the best part is the people. I felt like I was walking into myself. Meaning, these people know how to treat their guests. It was always pleasant. We had a room on the top floor with a Riverview. Even though off the balcony you're looking at another hotel it is still peaceful. The bed was comfy, but best of all, I searched through the entire hotel room looking for dirt or something that was not cleaned. I even pulled the filters and the AC and everything was absolutely spotless! We're talking the bottom of the toilet, behind the door in the bathroom in the corner, under the sink everywhere and everything was perfectly clean! Extremely close to the parkway. Across from log cabin pancake House. On the same road as roaring forton motor nature trail which is amazing. Spectacular indoor and outdoor pool and a restaurant on site!

Walkable to all of the “the strip” as I like to call it, which is super convenient, but it’s far enough away to not feel constantly surrounded by crowds when you’re at your room. Super close to the National Park and easy to access. We saw a bear from our balcony two separate nights which was also super cool.
