This was an ideal location for a secluded getaway. The house is gorgeous and in an incredible location, with all the comforts one could possibly need. We loved all the different amenities available to us to help us enjoy our time on the lake. Teresa was wonderful to work with. We would definitely come back here again, and highly recommend it!

The property has good potential . It needs some up keep for the money . The location was great for us . You can go to Richmond or to lake Geneva . You can also spend time on the twin lakes which we did a pontoon rental on lake marry for half a day . We enjoyed time at lake Benedict which is a small lake but nice and priviate sitting at the lake or in the water . All in all we had a good stay .

Stay away

Water front was nice, but it stops there. Basement flooded the entirety of our stay and after communicating several times with the owners they didn't do anything about it and asked us to use our towels to sop up the water throughout the weekend . The doors to the lake were difficult to open and close and the key for the water toys they said we could have access to broke off in the lock after simply try to turn the key. Then we get charged for damages to things that were already in poor state upon our arrival. Poor communication from renter. I would think twice before renting this place. Very disappointing.

Lovely lakefront house

We really enjoyed the property. Stayed for a mom and daughters trip with friends. House is very cute, with nice accommodations. It was so nice being on the lake and the area is lovely, with some nice restaurants nearby. I would rent it again.

Beautiful setting

Loved the location and setting. Cute house, needs updating. Wish we could have opened windows up at night but they were nailed or screwed shut. Bedroom comforter had bodily fluids on. We spent some time cleaning where we should have been relaxing. Kids swimming were telling us to F off. Kinda killed our vacation when all we wanted was quietness. Bar sink in basement was broke so the put a garbage can underneath to catch water. Floors were not swept or clean when we got there. Chair was tapedfrom tares. Other Chair was broke off of kitchen. Definitely was not worth what we paid and cleaned probably 5 to 6 hrs. There was also hole in wall down stairs, stains in rugs and couch. Couch seams were ripped.

Serene Lake View

Our family of three married couples and one baby (1 year old) enjoyed our stay at this lovely lakefront home. We really enjoyed the many windows on the main floor overlooking the scenic and quiet Lake Benedict, the nice-sized kitchen island, the many indoor/outdoor areas to dine, etc. To be noted for others considering this home to rent: 1) The home is located on a hill so there are many steps to climb up and down to get to the lake and pier. This was not an issue for us. 2) For three married couples and for individuals who are tall, the twin bunk bed bedroom didn't work for us. The futon bed in the basement rec room is "full-size" and the youngest married couple volunteered to sleep there. Too bad that the sectional sofa did not have a pull-out bed. 3) Do read the supply list carefully - Tissue paper, condiments, bottled water, and hand towels (we ended up using the dish towels) are not provided. But yay - coffee filters and beach towels were! We definitely support our five-star rating and we truly enjoyed our stay. Thank you!

Nice getaway

The house itself was perfect for what we needed for a girls weekend and the property is awesome. We had everything we needed and were super comfortable during our stay. The only downside I’d say was since we were a group of 29-30-year-old childless women, we were disappointed that both neighbors on either side had kids and were out ALL day on the lake with us. I get it’s a lake and everyone is entitled to it, but if you’re looking to come here escaping children be prepared that’s not the case. Of course, that’s not the house’s fault! Just a fair warning to other childless renters.

Amazing lake house

This is the most amazing vacation house and location for our extended family get together. The house is spacious, clean, beautifully decorated and provides games, toys and boats to satisfy everyone in our party from age 2 to 80! I can't wait to book our next vacation at this house.

Bachelorette Getaway!

We rented the Lake Benedict House in order to throw a well-deserved getaway weekend for my cousin’s bachelorette party. The house was so lovely and it accommodated all nine of us perfectly! We especially loved the spacious kitchen, beautiful views and direct lake access. I wish we would have made use of the kayak/canoe that were provided but we had so much fun, I don’t feel like I missed out at all! The house is a short drive to Lake Geneva and very close to the interstate which makes it extremely convenient for travelers and those looking to explore the area. A huge thank you to Teresa for providing us with such a wonderful location to celebrate our bride to be! :)

Bachelorette spa weekend!

We had a great time celebrating a bachelorette party at the lake house! We made a relaxing spa weekend and especially enjoyed the hot tub! Theresa was wonderful and the house was amazing! It was clean and organized and had everything we needed! Thank you for a wonderful weekend!

Lots of facilities but a bit too grimy

The house had all the facilities as listed but overall we felt it was a bit shoddy and run down. Nothing had been cleaned particularly well, especially the kitchen itself and the provided kitchen utensils. Do want to note all the linens were clean however. Given the price I expected the finish of the house, furniture and contents to have been cleaner/newer/better maintained.

Lake Life

This lake house is really nice, exactly like the picture. The house was very clean and well organized. The checkin and checkout process were super detailed and the owner is really responsive. The only negatives I would say is that the garbage dumpster near the house was over flowing when we got there so there was really nowhere to put garbage until it was picked up on Monday. The other thing was that the lawn service was cutting grass when we were outside. I got a bit scared when I looked out of the window and seen a man in the yard. I would suggest that they schedule lawn service around rentals. But overall we had a blast and would recommend this house. The views when you walk in the house are spectacular.

Girls weekend

We had a great time in our girls weekend! Teresa was very accommodating. The house had the perfect set up for a social gathering and had everything we needed. The view is beautiful and a great place to relax. We had a wonderful time!

Very pretty, lake front home

We had a good time at Lake Benedict and we were pleasantly surprised with the gorgeous lake views and overall upkeep of the home. Very nice! That being said, the list of rules is extensive (you can't turn a/c down below 72!?! It was hot out!) and the check out list is a little nuts (taking the garbage to the end of the drive, while getting reprimanded by a neighbor for taking it out too early to just sit there) but aside from that it was fun. Back yard is a little tough with small kids. Overall, we had a great time and being close to Lake Geneva is a big bonus! A fun family getaway!

Beautiful setting and a comfortable house

I recently hosted a work retreat for 10 people at the Lake Benedict house. It was a gorgeous setting! Everyone greatly enjoyed the lake, outdoor deck, and the view from the sitting area. I found the kitchen very functional and the wide island was incredibly useful in serving 10 people several meals over two days. The table was large enough to accommodate all of us, and we had enough space to spread out to socialize, too. It would be nice to have a second shower, but we made it work. Hot water was abundant. All in all, it was a lovely house that I would definitely consider staying in again!
