Seemed really grand on entering but on closer inspection was quite tired. Original room was lovely however on noticing the balcony door didn't lock and had several ways to access it I requested a different room. The man on Reception was Ok about me wanting a different room but seemed nonchalant about the none locking door. As a single female traveller I found it odd that having an unlocked bedroom door was OK?? Overall an OK stay, big room but tired and some maintenance and cleaning issues. Was a convenient location for the local parkrun and a nice town.

Lovely room layout and bathroom facilities. Only downside was that the lift was not working and therefore it was exhausting being on the third floor.

The reception desk is not open until 1pm which meant with an earlier arrival we were not able to leave our bags before check in. However we found the hotel location to both the old town and the main station ideal. There is a large aquarium with tropical fish in the dining room, an unusual but interesting feature.

This was our second stay at Dormero. We love the interesting building and large rooms. Everything is very clean and the marble covered bathrooms give it a luxurious feel. The manager is friendly and everyone speaks English so no problems with communication

Very comfortable room except the air conditioning was not working (and we were not informed of this). Our room faced the front of the property which was very noisy at night - had to have windows open due to lack of A/C. Location was good.

There was only one member of staff at the hotel in very limited hours. they were not there when I arrived which was after the published and emailed time for check in to open. I waited an hour for someone to arrive and check me in and this was having been up since 3am to travel there. when he arrived he was rude and difficult to deal with. i tried to call the manager using the emergency number on the front desk, i left her a message and emailed her and have still had no reply. there was no understanding or apology at any time. the hotel door to the street was unlocked 24h but the front desk was not manned and the hotel room keys were on display hanging on hooks behind the desk. it felt insecure, unwelcoming and unpleaseant. the spa was in the basement and deserted, nothing was switched on or available and there was no security (even in terms of a door that shut) between the spa facilities and the street so again it felt insecure. the fridge in the room did not work and there was noone to ask about it. I tried to ask the attendant one evening to book me an airport taxi transfer for the sunday morning and he was again very unhelpful and shouted at me that he cant book anything in advance. there was noone there when i checked out so i left the key on the desk. there was a plastic box for the keys but it was broken, anyone could have come and taken the key to my room after i left it. i think the management and front desk staff were appalling and i would not stay there again

It is my second time at the hotel. First time was great. Second time was disappointing. No reception person until until late in the day or overnight. Could not get an iron. The room was not cleaned daily. Although it was advertised that breakfast is available, the hotel restaurant was closed.

Im Bad Schimmel und defekte Jalousie. Im Zimmer defekter Fußboden mit Stolpergefahr, Gardinen defekte Aufhängung. Gut war das Ambiente im Hotelflur und der Lobby sowie die Aquarien.

Das Zimmer ist in Ordnung. Die Betten könnten neue Matratzen vertragen. Es gab zwar einen Topper, der aber nicht genau passte und verrutschte. Das Bad ist renovierungsbedürftig. Schwarzer Schimmel in den Silikonfugen und die Glasabtrennung in der Wanne konnte man nicht fixieren. Das Wasser beim Duschen spritze damit raus. Auch war der Stöpsel im Waschbecken defekt, was man erst beim RAsieren bemerkte. Den Stöpsel konnte man nicht lösen und das Wasser stand die ganze Zeit bis zur Abreise im Waschbecken
