Staff were uniformly kind and attentive, both to myself and to my son who was traveling with me. They consistently went the extra mile to engage with guests and facilitate any needs we might have. Shane the maintenance tech went so far as to loan me a cordless drill/driver to upgrade my walking stick, and Peter at the front desk was extremely helpful and cordial. A woman in the bar/restaurant (did not catch her name) spoke with me for some time about certain special requirements our sons share, which was useful for us both. The facility is exquisitely clean and well kept, and the (very dang good!) lobby coffee is kept fresh 24/7. I hit the fitness center all three days, and enjoyed that as well. My only pings are that I'd love to see more dumbbells in the fitness center, and the pool was closed during our stay. All in all, an excellent stay at a perfectly managed hotel.

I did not like the fact that the maids did not speak English. One day they didn't leave any wash cloths, and one day we came back to the after 5:00 p.m. and the room had not been cleaned. The ice machine on the 3rd floor did not work. The bed felt like I was sleeping on a cement floor.

Fabulous room attendance and cleanliness. 24/7 high quality coffee in the lobby. Maintenance tech loaned me a cordless drill to upgrade my walking stick. Breakfast buffet is ten bucks extra and the eggs and sausage were dry, but there was plenty of fruit and cheesy grits for the win. Fitness center doesn’t have too much gear (do they ever?), but is clean and well lit. Pool was closed in May; seemed odd to me. All staff that we encountered were wonderfully helpful and welcoming.

Excellent!!

We had a wonderful stay. The location is convenient for us. The staff was incredible! They went out of their way to ensure we had a wonderful experience. This is the only place we will stay when we come back to visit.

Unwilling and not compassionate

I had a room scheduled for April 10th because my infant son was scheduled for a surgery the next day, and we are traveling 6 hours from out of state. The hospital called me at 1:30pm on the 10th to cancel his surgery. I paid extra to have a refundable room up until April 5th(that is the latest cancel date they allowed). Being that this event was totally out of my control, I thought they would be willing to work with me since i would be calling to reschedule my stay anyways. I called the hotel, and the front desk lady told me there wouldn't be a problem to cancel and refund, that she understood. I had to go through hotels.com for the refund since I booked through them. They reached out to the hotel, which told them they were sticking to their policy of no exceptions and not issuing a refund. That is a terrible reputation to set for themselves and somewhat disgusting being my situation. I will no longer be using them to book for our rescheduled surgery.
