Good value

I would say the hotel was good value for money. Good size room and nice to have a balcony. The decor was a little dated. The location was good. Easy to get to shops and beach etc. Overall stay was good for 3 star.

Overall good stay

We planned a last minute trip to HI from CA. For the 3 generation trip we got 2 rooms for what would’ve been a room price so the value was great. Location was good. I’m only talking about the room I stayed in. It still had the old slated glass windows and closer to the street so the noise was super loud. There was definite quietness when I went to the other room. Apparently they’re replacing all these old windows, after I leave. The staff were nice but I have to say they seem to forget what I asked for. Like I asked for extra towels and they’ll forget to bring them. So we had to ask agin at the end of the day. Otherwise they’re good. Overall, I feel a step above what I paid for so if I have to stay last minute for the price I’d.

Dangerous Bathroom floor is super slippery, and tub bottom is slippery too. I fell hard backward on the edge of the tub when came out of shower. I thought i broke my back. Would recommend to change to non slippery floor material.

Great location, very close to Waikīkī beach. Everything was great except for the disappointing experience upon checking in. After a 6 hour flight, we didn’t feel an aloha welcome by whoever checked us in. On top of that, our request to be moved to a room with a better view was denied. This is a training issue with a single employee; everyone else were friendly. Room and amenities were great though. The complimentary Hawaiian coffee was always fresh which I loved. I’d recommend this hotel.

Nice place & friendly staff, with lots of restaurants and shopping opportunities within walking distance. The only drawback is the parking. There is free street parking IF you can find it. I did find a spot 1 of the 4 days I stayed there, but it was 5 blocks away. Otherwise it is $40 a night for valet parking. It adds up quick.

It was sooooo dirty. The shower curtains had orange stains on them, the walls were stained, the bed sounded like it was on a cardboard box and was so uncomfortable that after two days my husband- who never complains about anything- mentioned how much it hurts to move because of his spine. None of the cabinets closed correctly because everything is so old. Like this hotel charged $239 a night- buy a new shower curtain for $20. Buy a mattress for under a thousand. I don’t blame the cleaners, the owner of this hotel needs to pay for upgrades because you can’t clean this place anymore. I swear the carpet in the rooms is original and so disgusting in a hot tropical climate- change it to proper flooring. It is moist and wet. Staff were great but I truly think whoever owns this hotels needs to invest some money into it. The place is so old- you can’t clean it spotless anymore. The bathroom cabinets are yellow stained with dirt, grout between the floors and shower tiles is yellow and stained. Honestly - for the price- pay a little more and stay elsewhere. The feeling of the shower when you want to be clean but are scared of touching the walls, the curtain or anything because it’s so gross- is not a place you want to stay in.

Comfortable room, convenient location. cleanliness/room cleaners can be improved. Front desks are not friendly, there was a guy that was just scrolling through his phone and ignoring us. They have beach chairs, umbrellas and boogie boards available to borrow. Coffee and teas available all day at the lobby.

Love the location and VIP free upgrade was superb. I had a single suit that had a couch and 1.5 bathrooms. Also received free wine. The staff was super professional and polite. Great value for your money compared to the other hotels around. Water was hot. It’s a little older hotel, but it’s better than some of the other “high end remodeled” hotels on Waikiki’s main strip. I would definitely stay here again!!!
