The general standard is that of perfection. Guests are treated as treasured visitors. The service is personal, faultless and effective. The room was elegantly palatial. Old world elegance, Dutch heritage,

This location was once a Dutch company insurance/finance building. The hotel wing in recent construction build with the opulence of a Dutch colonial hotel. Closely resembles, and reminds us of the Singapore Raffles at the height of popularity...only smaller, with impeccably detailed service. The breakfast menu covers western and continental tastes, but excells with delights from Indonesia. Outstanding. Lunch and dinner menus ore more limited, but ample for those retreating. Other Indonesia venues are nearby. Don’t miss the bakery and amazing dark chocolate bars topped with fruit and nuts! A stay here is highly recommended.

It is an old colonial building in a quiet neighborhood. But that puts it away from attractions to visit. Staff is attentive and courteous. Pool and fitness area needs improvement. Maintenance issues like hot water needs to be resolved: we never got hot water during our 3 nights stay (2 nights booked not they Expedia) despite staff promises to fix it

The hotel is a refurbished historic landmark. It has so many beautiful details. The breakfast is among the best selections I have ever had at a hotel. The staff is genuinely friendly and welcoming. The surrounding neighborhood is lovely and walkable. For those interested, the commuter train, which serves the old center of Jakarta all the way to Bogor, is two blocks away.

Our stay was pleasant. Staff were very accommodating, but on two separate occasions we made bookings with the staff, and the bookings weren’t actually made. They were very agreeable with us, but we later found out they didn’t actually understand us. We feel they needed more staff that could speak and understand English. Other than this, we did enjoy our stay and the hotel is beautiful.

This hotel is great for anyone who enjoys historical architecture and amazing service. All the staff were incredibly nice. The property was very safe and extremely quiet. The room was spacious and clean. The best part of this hotel was the breakfast every morning. New dishes to try both Western and Indonesian with friendly staff. The only downside was that the area around the hotel was not very walkable but not much of the Jakarta area is so keep this in mind when visiting.
