Konea 222 on ylellinen yhden makuuhuoneen vuoristomaisema, ja se nauttii luokkansa suurimmasta yksityisestÀ lanai (parveke), joka tarjoaa laaja-alaisen nÀkymÀn West Mauin vuorille. Sviitti sopii erinomaisesti pienille perheille ja pariskunnille, mikÀ tarjoaa ihanteellisen ympÀristön rentoutua ja yhdistÀÀ. Jos haluat nauttia rauhallisesta Hawaiian tuulta, kÀÀnnÀ lasin ovet irti, jotta sisÀtilat sulautuvat saumattomasti ulkona.

Tee olosi kotoisaksi runsaalla asuintilalla, joka on tÀysin nimetty "iloksi". Best Maui trip yet

This was our first family vacation since our youngest was born and we decided to splurge on a family friendly reosrt. The condo at Honua Kai was everything we hoped it would be! The location was amazing, great service, and the pools were warm and clean. Already planning our trip for next year!

Excellent property management and resort, but I'd pick another unit

My family and I have previously stayed at the Honua Kai and the resort is packed with family-friendly amenities. The pools are wonderful and the proximity to the beach is first rate. I would argue that even the Westin next door doesn't have as nice a position on the beach. We've never previously rented through Maui Resort Rentals and the service was absolutely excellent! Easy to communicate with, quick response times and they do try their best. We ran into an issue with a fold-out bed but they came up with a solution our first evening and then managed to replace the whole bed the next day. Again, they were great. I have two small-ish issues with the unit. The reason the lanai is so big (a bonus) is that it's nearly on top of the port-cochere entry to the tower. You get used to it but it's not everyone's cuppa tea. The second issue is that the hot water tank is behind a door in the bedroom. It drips constantly. We didn't notice it the first night because it was raining and we thought it was the rain. When the noise continued the next day, that's when we realized it was the dripping sounds of the hot water tank and the hot water piping. If you're a light sleeper bring earplugs.

AMAZING STAY!

We were so sad to leave this vrbo to our next vrbo on the south side of the island. Perfect location and place for a family. I thought the place was a lot nicer than the photos. Resort is super kid friendly. Pools/beach was amazing! So convenient to stay in a place that had a living room, balcony and kitchen.

Perfect Getaway

The Honua Kai was the perfect spot for our family vacation. The suite itself was fully equipped with everything you would need for your stay and the patio was absolutely massive. The resort has tons of pool options great proximity to the beach and has Dukes on its property which is a huge bonus. 10/10 would stay here again !

Perfect for families!!

The resort is absolutely beautiful! We loved the pools & all the amenities. The room was very comfortable. The one thing I would note was some spaces were not as clean as you would expect. Carpets were stained & not well maintained. Also the deck/balcony needed a good scrub. Other than that, we thoroughly enjoyed our stay!!

This place is more than great. The huge balcony area is almost as big as the entire apartment. The entire windows between the living room and bedroom opens up to this gigantic balcony. Making the living area three times as large. This gives you the feeling that you are in a very large apartment. The unit is very clean. It’s well stocked with everything you need including a vacuum if you need it. There is much attention to detail in this unit. The wristband key system to the unit and to the facility is a very good way to operate. Plus, the staff easily knows who belongs in the pool area and who snuck in. I really liked that you don’t lose your key like I do all the time with the old credit card door systems. There is an electronic notepad in the unit with all the information you need. The TV has paid Netflix and PrimeVideo. Other attention to detail items is that they empty the refrigerator ice machine so you have fresh ice for your stay. The beach chairs and umbrella are great. You know you have a place to sit on the beach. The pools are fantastic! There are kid’s pools with a water slide and play area, adult pools and a infinity pool. I lost count of the number of hot-tubs that are there. The beach has great soft sand and if you go to the right area, you can avoid the occasional underwater rocks. We have nothing but great things to say about this place. We can’t wait to come back.

Great rental experience. Nice property. Beach was a little small and the ocean dropped off quickly and was rocky. A short UBER to Whalers Village remedied this issue.

Family reunion

It’s so nice to be back in maui with family. This is our 4th time saying in Honua Kai. Our family just love staying here. The only thing I was bummed about is the villas blocking the mauka view. In regards to the place, it’s a great, love konea tower, close to dukes. There’s a couple of things that I would suggest: vacuum, mop and/or broom and perhaps remove the carpet. Other than that, enjoyed our stay! Thank you!

COVID Crisis

We stayed a week during COVID-19. Day two, almost all business shut down with the exception of take out food. The resort did a good job of making these kinds of things available. We were checked on once late in the stay by resort staff but were unsuccessful in attempts earlier in the week to get paper products replaced, difficult to do on your own when the stores are out of these kInda of things. I did not receive any calls or emails after our initial arrival which is something I expected. The room was in nice shape and everything worked. I will likely look to stay again someday as our experience during this viral time was certainly disappointing.

Loved it!

We really enjoyed our trip to Maui. This rental was in a great location. There was construction, but it never bothered us as it it was during the day when we were out and about. The resort is great for active kids. We took advantage of the cabana rental and for the 1st time, I did nothing but read for an entire day. It was magical. We can't wait to go back.

Disappointment

We had a lovely time in Maui despite our room accommodations. No, we did not call Maui Resort Rentals about the problem because it wasn’t easily fixable. Our condo had filthy carpet in the living room. I have never stayed in a room that looked so bad. The furniture was not clean either and was really in need of replacement. The up side was that the bed was really comfortable. We felt the description of the room was totally misleading.

The rental on paper sounded great, but after our arrival things changed. First thing is the mattress needs to be replaced. It sags in two places, normal wear and tear but honestly it was pretty significant and was not comfortable. My husband had to sleep on the pull out couch the entire time which was not much better. We called to see if they could swap it out but unfortunately they claimed they couldn’t. Outside of the bed issues, the fan in the bathroom didn’t work, the iron was broken, the ice machine was busted, our patio door would not lock and the garbage situation was not good. The garbage shoot room smelled atrocious, towards the end of the week it was so full we could no longer put garbage in. This led to people placing their left over food in open garbage bins by the elevators that would stink up the floor. It seemed like there was minimal clean up around the hotel, garbage bins in halls were not cleared out daily, the gym had people’s sweaty towels left on the floor or machines. In the morning I could still see people’s leftover trash from the day before by the pool. The staff was very nice just not sure why things weren’t maintained better. For such a highly rated hotel I am really disappointed.

The room was good.

The room was okay for the 10 days we stayed in it. However a few things to know: pullout couch was awful. My husband could not sleep in it (kiddo and me took bed) The room lacked a vacuum and cleaning supplies especially if there is no room service your entire stay. The room was kinda small in space but overall was good to include small counter space in bathroom. The balcony is huge but could use more furniture to host on. The Maui staff was great though and fulfilling my request for more laundry pods and garbage bags. Overall pleased with it but did not meet me my needs so won't be booking this room again.

Great place

This was not our first time staying at Honua Kai and as usual it does not disappoint. Has most everything you need, and the staff is very kind. Great place, great time.

We’re in Hawaii at least once per year and this time decided to stay on Maui. The room description was exact, the staff friendly and accommodating and the resort facilities as described. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay in the condo and chose well for location. Highly recommended.

A Very Nice Upscale (small) Condo.

I have visited Maui over a dozen times so I have stayed in a lot of resorts and condos. This was my first stay in a time share resort. Check in is 4pm and check out is 11:00am. The drive from OGG airport is approximately 1 1/4 hours. The Maui Resort staff person was very friendly and always helpful. She even called a few times during the week to make sure everything was ok. This is a good price for such a nice place. For me, the Honua Kai feels like a hotel room with a kitchen--the resort is several stories high, has long corridors and a big lobby. This one is beautifully decorated, very clean and the bed is super comfortable but the overall living space is tight. Never used the sofa bed. There are two good sized TV's with cable, free wifi, beach gear and the grounds are beautiful. I love the convenience of having a washer and dryer although the dryer takes a very long time to dry clothes. It's an electric dryer. The bathroom is a good size but there is very little counter space and no where to place things. Housekeeping is not included but can be added for an extra fee. A small vacuum would be nice to have on hand along with a few cleaning supplies. The pool is great for kids but too shallow for my preference. The deepest part is only 4 1/2 feet. There is a grocery store across the street and also plenty to do and see in both directions of the hotel. The beachfront is not a good swimming beach but there is one you can walk to from the hotel. My suggestion to the owner would be: The place has nothing to write on, no paper or pen. The kitchen could use a pitcher and a couple of common spices would be nice. There is nowhere to store food except in the refrigerator because the kitchen is small. Another mirror in the condo would be useful when the bathroom is occupied or a makeup mirror somewhere because the lighting in the bathroom is dim. Last but not least, the lanai is Huge but it needs more furniture / lounge chairs / umbrella or plants. You can't BBQ on it either....We didn't spend any time on the lanai because it was either raining or too hot and there is no shade out there. Would I recommend this place? Yes, it's a very nice resort and condo room. Would I stay here again? I don't think so but that's me. I don't think I am cut out for the new timeshare properties. Aloha
