We had the pleasure of staying at Hotel Musse Kyoto Shijo Kawaramachi Meitetsu on the Musse Floor in a premium connecting room, which was perfect for our family of four during our three-night stay in Kyoto.
The staff was incredibly courteous, and our room was spotless, well-organized, and exceeded expectations—especially with the luxurious ReFa shower head and bathing area. We loved the hotel-provided pajamas so much we ended up purchasing a pair!
The location was ideal, right in the heart of Kyoto with easy access to restaurants and attractions, many of which we walked to. Despite being on the top floor with an angled view of the main street (looking down at Don Quijote Shijo Kawaramachi), we didn’t experience any noise issues mentioned in other reviews.
The beds were very comfortable, with thoughtful touches like a small shelf and charging station next to each bed.
The Musse Lounge on the 2nd floor offered the most diverse breakfast spread of all four hotels we stayed at in Japan—and even had enough options for one of our family member’s vegan needs with ease.
We would absolutely stay here again and highly recommend it for families looking for comfort, convenience, and hospitality in Kyoto.
