The Millenials is a great hotel. The vibe is definitely younger. Loved that they had separate floors for men and women. We stayed on the all women floor. The boxes were perfect. The sleeping area was always quiet which was very nice. The common/working area was spacious and very clean.
Everything about this property is excellent. The bathrooms and facilities are nearly new, the bed is enormous and comfortable. The setup technology is next level, with iPods controlling lights and bed.
The location is very good too, right next to the Nishiki market, major shopping areas and the Gion district.
Generally clean and well equipped, but has the most aggressive check out policy I’ve ever seen - it’s at 10am, and by 10:10 they have someone pushing you out and charging late check out fees.
The social area is well equipped if you are working, but not designed for travelling. Feels like you’re hanging out in a WeWork.
The pod was very comfortable and had an air vent coming in which was great. I dont recommend the breakfast as it only had a couple of small pastries to choose from or yogurt or soup.
Honestly the nicest hostel I’ve ever stayed at… truly wasn’t expecting it to be this nice. The amenities are clean and great. The location is super convenient - near restaurants and metro. Very accommodating. And i slept so comfortably and peacefully. Everyone is respectful of your space and area. Only thing is how it might be difficult to get out the space when your bed it flat. So if you have to go to the bathroom in the middle of the night, you will most likely have to bring your bed up right first. If that is okay, then you would love this place!
A lot of dining and shopping areas around the hotel. Across the road there’s a minimart selling goods at low and affordable prices which many locals frequent!
Lovely staff, central location. Gave the facilities 4 stars because we could hear people on our floor throughout the night but that cant really be helped with a stay like this. We loved the experience of it.
This property is easily reachable from the Kyoto Station by bus. Less than a 15 minute ride.
It is within walking distance of the Nikishi Market.
There is a women’s only floor available and can only be accessed with room key. The bed was wonderful. It was able to raise and lower by remote control.
The bathrooms were clean and the showers were amazing!
There is a kitchen area where you could prepare food.
The breakfast was not really worth the price of the ticket. There was yogurt and juice and some breakfast breads. They also served soup for breakfast. There were NO proteins..eggs, bacon sausage. And no fresh fruit.
There is a wonderful bakery& cafe within 4 blocks. Definitely worth the walk.
Overall, I was very pleased and would stay here again.
