Who let the dogs out? Our Place to Paws offers you five private acres of mountain landscapes where dogs and humans can roam freely. Roast s'mores by the creek, belt out karaoke in the game room, or soak like royalty in that dreamy soaking tub. With luxe finishes and playful extras, this cabin's got tail-wagging charm and grown-up perks.

Indoor Spaces:
- Sleeping arrangements: The main level has two bedrooms with queen beds, one with a private bath. On the upper level, you'll find the primary suite with a king bed and a bathroom equipped with a tiled shower and footed soaker bathtub. Downstairs is yet another bedroom with a king bed and a private bathroom.
- Main level: Vaulted beamed ceilings and a glossy wooden interior give this cabin a forest-themed aesthetic. Curl up around the floor-to-ceiling stone fireplace on chilly nights. An open floor plan joins together the living, dining, and kitchen areas, and trust us, you're going to want to see this kitchen.
- Upper level: The upper level of this cabin is dedicated to comfort and rest. From the upper landing, you can look out at great room below and catch of glimpse of nature from the windowed wall adjacent to the living area.
- Lower level: Head downstairs to find entertainment galore. The lower level is home to the game and media room, featuring a gas fireplace, pool table, card table, two TVs, a karaoke machine, arcade games, and a wet bar with an ice maker. In the garage, you'll find a ping pong table.
- Our Place to Paws comes with WiFi, AC, and streaming services.

Outdoor Spaces:
- Remember to pack your hiking boots, because this rental has more than enough space to explore. Five private acres are all yours to connect with nature and replenish your mind, body, and spirit with fresh mountain air.
- A spacious open deck awaits you, with covered seating and a blackstone
- Make your way down to the creek to find an outdoor fire pit and seating area.
- A propane-powered mini fire pit is located on the deck.

Local Surroundings:
- At Our Place to Paws, you're less than 15 minutes away from both downtown West Jefferson and the town of Lansing. Take a day trip to Lansing and explore the Historic Lansing Creeper Trail Park, or stop by the Lost Province Center for Cultural Arts for a taste of Ashe County's arts and crafts scene. When you're ready to eat, head to West Jefferson for its delectable restaurants and breweries, like Red Dog Bar & Bistro and New River Brewing Ale House.
- Want to do a bit of shopping? Look for hidden treasures at West Jefferson's many antique and collectible shops, like Antiques on Main and Not Just Old Antiques.
- Lace-up your boots and take a roughly 35-minute drive up to Grayson Highlands State Park, where you can find miles upon miles of hiking trails, waterfalls, and best of all…wild ponies! Other great places to explore your outdoor surroundings include Mount Jefferson State Natural Area and the many trails of the Blue Ridge Parkway.
- Visiting during the snowy months? Make sure to plan a visit up to Appalachian Ski Mountain for a day filled with hitting the slopes, snow tubing, and ice skating.

- Pet Policy: Dogs welcome! Two-dog limit, must be leash and crate trained, 45lbs or less, and at least two years old. $50 per pet, nonrefundable.
- Access: Our Place to Paws has a spacious, paved driveway. We recommend AWD/4WD when visiting in the winter months.
- Security Disclaimers: External cameras monitor the public outdoor areas of this cabin to help keep an eye out for wildlife nearby, like deer and bears.
