Please avoid this motel at all costs. There is mould in the rooms, and the smell smacks you in the face when you walk in the door. The hot water system does not work in a majority of the rooms. The whole resort needs an immediate upgrade. The outside requires repair, and a paint job would not go astray. The grounds were overrun with long grass and weeds. I was at reception one morning when another guest came up and advised that he and his wife received an electric shock when they went to turn on the shower. Rooms are not restocked or cleaned properly. It took them three days to clean our bath and basin and we constantly had to request clean towels. Included breakfast, which we paid for, was very basic. The toaster was from the dark ages and not sure if it was safe to use at all. We ended up utilising the wonderful restaurants and bars in the vicinity. There is no spa with this "resort and spa". The air conditioners are set up right outside your door and drip water all over the tiles along the walkway which makes it extremely slippery. The staff are amazing and tried to rectify the issues we had. A lot of time and money needs to be spent on this resort to bring it back to its original state. Definitely deceiving photos on the website. SO many more beautiful places to stay in the vicinity around the same price we paid for this run-down resort.

Location was excellent. Breakfast very good. Pools were well maintained. Staff very friendly and eager to please. My only complaint was the bed had been broken and was very uncomfortable and noisy resulting in poor sleep.

Everything was acceptable, staff are wonderful and friendly. Bathrooms need attention . Could do with a fresh coat of paint actually the whole complex could do with a good paint. Especially to highlight the beautiful Balinese sculptures around the complex. Awesome position to access beach and shops.

For the price you pay it’s perfect, if you are after 5 star this is not for you, just spent 10 nights at Melasti room was comfortable, room cleaned, fresh sheets and towels everyday.. breakfast was included with enough variety for the price you pay… staff lovely and friendly, great location on the beach

Unhelpful with concerns of room allocation, wouldn’t refund our 10nights booking. Was told in check in no other rooms available, once we decided to move hotels told there was a different room. Overall poor form for melasti, the resort should just close

Location is great. Staff are lovely and helpful. Hotel needs updating especially the bathrooms. Could do with more pool lounges and the cushions desperately need replacing, a lot had black mouldy stuff on them

The only thing that is good about the Melasti is the location. Gardens are over grown, everything is dirty and there were ants crawling all over the disgusting breakfast that looked like it had been sitting there for 2 years.

The property is NOT fit for human inhabitants…dangerously mouldy, dirty, main swim up pool very dirty n mouldy.. ALL water connected to hotel is SALT, (as discussed with management) 3 room changes, to get a flashing toilet. The pictures are not true of the Resort, no play area for kids..very run down.. Breakfast…hmmm if you happy with eggs not a problem, sausages served once a week (no bacon at all) we ate there 3 mornings out of 6, gardens are no longer maintained (except for the entrance) Seriously don’t waste your money on this run down filthy Resort
