The property itself was great. The staff were super lovely and the room was very nice and appeared to be recently renovated. Unfortunately nowhere did I read online that Venice beach has a large homeless population and it feels unsafe and unclean (lots of spray paint, garbage etc.). I was really shocked at the surroundings and will not return here for this reason.
The is what the surrounding boulevard is like.
This is the front of the hotel. The surrounding area is all tacky trinket shops.

Great Hotel, the Venice V is an experience with room themes ranging from: Artist, Boho and Skate. Located right on the beach the offer Beach Towels and Beach Cruiser Bikes to add to the experience. We rode North past Sant Monica to a Beach Cafe for Breakfast. Loved the refurbished Art Deco look of this Hotel. Staff was helpful and cool. Venice Canals are close and walkable. Great restaurants and people watching.

The customer service was great!! We were greeted by security in the parking lot and felt so safe. Front desk was able to resolve a mix up with my reservation and still accommodate us. The room was very clean and beautiful. We were there due to a layover and everything was in walking distance ocean, shopping, dining, great location! Will stay here again.

Everything was great… the only downs were that the fridge made a whirring noise and the flashing lights on the WiFi access point reflected off the tv. Neither were a reason not to stay. Free bike rental was a nice surprise, the wifi actually worked and food was close and good

This was our first time visiting LA/Venice Beach and the Venice V Hotel did not disappoint. Not only is the hotel in a great location, steps away from Venice Beach and the Pacific, but the style and cleanliness were way above other hotels we have stayed at. We stayed in the PH bungalow room, with stunning views, modern room and comfortable furniture. It was quiet in the evening, with great restaurants in walking distance. There were even bicycles you could use during your stay, free of charge. Parking was very easy, with valet parking and 24/7 security. They also accommodate pets which is awesome. As for the employees, Nick, Gabriel and Larissa (sorry if I misspelt), went above and beyond during our stay. Very friendly, accommodating, and professional. If I could give this place a 6/5 star I would! We will definitely be back to check out LA again in the near future, and will most definitely be booking with Venice V Hotel again!

Excellent location, right on the beach, clean, comfortable, nice, no frills and reasonably priced. The service was excellent, especially Gabriel at the front desk. Highly recommended!

Penthouse Plus

Cute boutique hotel with history and charm. I’d definitely recommend the rooftop penthouse options, specifically PH 2 has amazing beach front views!! Very quiet and private up there. Community space offering side/sunset views as well. Our room was very well appointed, clean, large and comfy. Staff was pleasant. Grey central location for Venuce beach !
