Although hotel was a bit tired and the care for the hotel is not ideal, staff were excellent and very responsive to our requests. Breakfast was simple. Bagels or Muffins.

The hotel was excellent, very clean, great location in NYC. We were able to walk to many of the New York destinations that people come to see. Subway was easy access from hotel, used it to get to Lower Manhattan, Statue of Liberty. We had an issue with our TV and the problem was addressed within minutes. The only suggestion I would make is to start the breakfast at 7am instead of 8am for people who want to make an earlier start to their day. Will definitely recommend to family and friends!!

Great location!

Had a great 5 night stay while traveling with two teens in NYC. Hotel is in a nice part of Chelsea with great access to subways. We had a corner room with 2 windows, great view of street life! Breakfast was a simple muffin or bagel with coffee, milk and water.

I spent 2 nights with my grandchildren in a comfortable room with 2 large beds. Wonderful friendly staff the rooms were a little worn but immaculate. Great location

I knew this hotel was basic, but wasn't really prepared for the basicness of it. I was regretting booking it the first morning, but then it grew on me! I just went with the flow. The staff were very polite and said hello/goodbye when you walked past reception. The mattress was thin and there were no spare pillows. The fridge was stored in a cupboard and I'm surprised the door didn't break off during our stay. There was a hole in the flyscreen on the window, so it had something just taped over it. They should remove that they have a room safe. It was in the wardrobe, had a lock, but no key to be seen. I doubt it would have fitted in what we wanted. And the thought of others having a key to just open it up, made us rethink how to store our valuables. Breakfast was hectic. The room door was locked for an hour before breakfast. And then it was mayhem when we all walked in. We had to ask for the bagels/muffins. They weren't just laid out so we could help ourselves. people were constantly having to ask what flavours there were. Have a few signs with what is on offer for each - much easier and quieter. Then the coffee/tea section was so cramped. They had a lovely bar area, that could have housed all of that stuff. But it was in a pokey little section that meant the line was long and made it very busy right near the door. Cannot fault the room cleaning. It got cleaned perfectly every day. They should look at putting the towel rail or toilet paper holder in different spots.

Hotel was average at best. Some of the front desk staff was rather rude at times and not helpful. Breakfast was very limited. TV had very limited channels. I would not recommend.

Decent hotel in a good area. It is old but maintained well. Rooms are of reasonable size considering the average room size in NYC hotels. Staff was friendly and helpful. Does not have a laptop size digital safe but an old fashioned box, just big enough to keep cash/ jewellery etc and it needs a physical key that we had to request from the front desk.

HUGE room for NYC. Had a fridge, bonus in NYC. Subway around the corner literally. Staff is fantastic. Food across the street was better than TSQ area. Outdated for some. But as for me, a solo traveler, perfect. Had a bed and bathroom and fridge to keep my water cold. They had bagels for breakfast. Other items too but i only cared about bagels. It is outdated, but i did not care. The staff, location, and vibe of this area was perfect for me. My ONLY complaint is the TV was terrible channels. Yes it was cable channels but ZERO local channels. Normally i wouldn't care, because who watchs TV on vacation in NYC. But i was tired and it was pouring rain one night. I managed. And honestly if the weather outside was better and my energy would have held up, i probably wouldn't have noticed.

Could use some updates

Beds and pillows need an upgrade. Bed was hard and pillows had no support. Blow dryer in my room was broken. Staff was pleasant. The breakfast was nothing more than muffins and bagels. It would have been nice if they offered fruit as well such as bananas, oranges and apples.

⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ Excellent stay at the Chelsea Savoy Hotel! I stayed here recently and had a great experience. The location is perfect—right in Chelsea and super close to multiple subway lines, which made getting around the city really easy. Tons of restaurants and shops are within walking distance too. The staff was friendly and helpful throughout my stay. The room was clean, comfortable, and more spacious than I expected for NYC. I also appreciated the free breakfast each morning—it was simple but a nice added touch. Overall, a great value for the location and service. I’d definitely stay here again!

Great hotel in a spot on location.

The Chelsea Savoy is really well located within walking distance of lots of attractions. While the furnishings are dated the hotel is kept spotlessly clean, the daily room clean is very thorough. Hot drinks and bagels/muffins are offered in the mornings which is a nice touch. The staff were pleasant and polite, ready to help with any requests

Good spacious rooms. Very clean. Conveniently located next to 23 st subway. Great amenities nearby. Complimentary breakfast of muffins and bagels is basic but great. Hotel a little dated but gives it an old time character of its own. Friendly staff. Good value for money.
