The hotel is conveniently located. The staff was helpful and friendly. The hotel was starting to show some wear. The dresser drawers in the room wouldn't stay closed & the A/C didn't cool very well.

Staff was good but lock on door did not work the entire stay. Very inconvenient!!! Work out room was set at 85 degrees which was way too warm. Revolving door in lobby was awful and didn’t work right. Breakfast was very good but had to fight for a table during peak time.

When we first arrived I was disappointed as there was scaffolding and hotel not up to date. However, the staff, waters on request, breakfast and walkability made our stay completely fabulous. I did have a little trouble with Expedia with pricing but did get it figured out. AND, the pub across the street is quite lovely if your feet have given out for the day!

Friendly staff. Well-stocked breakfast (although few low-sugar options.) Room air conditioner worked great. We stayed for three nights and slept well every night! The hotel could use a general refurbishment, starting with the front entrance. All of the plants in the flower boxes outside the front door are brown and dead from lack of watering. The revolving lobby door has a faulty motion-sensor, so it annoyingly stops turning and traps people inside until they wave their arms at the motion sensor.

Pros - All staff were very helpful. They handed out water bottles which seemed to be above and beyond. Very central, close to subway, close to midtown. Cons - Small room. Super small beds. Barn door for the bathroom was NOT a hit for everyone in the room.

The breakfast each morning was great. Lots of options that really helped to start the day. Friendly staff and the room was clean and well stocked with water and clean towels. We enjoyed sitting on the patio in front of the hotel. But, I know smoking marijuana is level in NY, but it was disappointing that people off of the street, not hotel guests, were coming to the patio and smoking marijuana there. That just seemed inappropriate and each time it happened the smell was overwhelming so we would just leave.
