room was nice. could not connect to wifi the entire time I was there. Called the desk and was offered really no solution or anything. the person on the phone offered absolutely no help and said he could change my room. I was halfway through the stay and it was literally just the wifi not working. I just would have wanted a bit more troubleshooting or something not a room change.

Horrible bed. It felt like sleeping on concrete with a plastic sheet. The thermostat did not work. Had to open the windows for fresh air. Room was not clean. Overall, a very bad experience. Would not recommend this hotel to anyone. Just horrible.

The Hayden was thé worst experience of a so called hotel I have ever had in my life. I felt mislead by Expedia and the hotel as this was rated a 4 star hotel, but didn’t have any working heating in the hotel. When I asked why it was so cold in the hotel when I checked in, the employee at the front desk told me it was only cold because the door opens and closes all the time but that the rest of the hotel was heated well. After going to my room, I found there was no heat, and cold air my blowing in my room and the temperature was 13 degrees Celsius in my hotel room when the temperature outside was -9 Celsius outside. The bed was the most uncomfortable bed, there were plastic on the bed and it felt like we were sleeping on plastic garbage bags. The bedsheets had dark stains and mold was found in the bathroom. We called after checking in to complain about the room a wanting a resolution to the problem and a refund but we were told no rooms were available and no manager on site to make any complaints but they could give us a space heater as a solution but could not get a full refund. We had to sleep in our hotel room with our clothes and winter jackets as they don’t have comforters on the beds and use 3 thin sheets as a comforter. This has been my worst hotel experience were I would usually lean on a big company like Expedia for hotel recommendations but learned quickly that the 4 start hotel we booked was closer to a 2 and a half star motel. Stay away from this hotel.

The room was 100* when I arrived. I turned the temp down to 80* and left for the night. I returned around 3am to 67*. Front desk did nothing but tell me maintenance will be in at 8am. Waited… called down at 9am. 10am maid came to attempt to fix heat. Did not return to check like he said he would. Left for the afternoon. Still no heat when I returned. Attending manager came up to check out the system. “Fixed” it to go back to 100*. Comfortable bed! Good amount of space!

Rooms were clean and the bed was comfortable. Had a little problem with the heat but the front desk staff were fabulous in response and went above and beyond to correct. Easy access to subway and nearby breakfast options were great. Overall a great Midtown spot and a great value.
