This place is LOUD. I mean paper thin doors so you hear everything in the hallway. Glass windows that let all street noise in... which is entertaining at 4am when Mr Purple closes and everyone shuffles on to the street. But don't worry, the police have a standard patrol so a few siren woops and it is quite by 5:30am again.

We loved staying here with our two kids to visit their sister who lives in the lower East side. Close to everything and in a lively neighborhood and the ablility to be dropped off in front worked well. We also loved the queen beds which most NYC rooms have doubles, hardwood floors and nice windows. also the bathroom was large with many looks and storage areas. The staff was very nice and friendly. And the lounge/bar/patio on the 15th floor is amazing. Almost 360 views and great coffee light breakfast in the morning and fabulous cocktails in the evening. Though it is a legit club on Saturday night so we didn't go there or maybe weren't even allowed! Definitely will be back!

Book it! The hotel is nice, the staff were so helpful and friendly, there’s plenty of places to eat, lots of vintages shops, and a liquor store at the corner! They have a club called Mr. Purple in the building and the rooms are roomier than most hotels in NYC! Absolutely love this hotel!

This place is not for everyone.

The positives were: Cool looking hotel and the room had skyline view. Bed and pillows comfy. Staff were kind and attentive. Easy checkin/out. The negatives were: Floor was quite dirty as if just slept in the middle of the walk way. Super noisy!! Saturday night we had thumping music until 2 am when our bedtime was 11 pm. It sounded like it was next door while it was 2 floors up. Not even ear plugs and pillow could drown it out. Also street noise of honking and emergency vehicles were constant 24 hrs.

I was very pleased with my stay. The check-in process was smooth and the hotel staff was very pleasant. The room was clean and fulfilled all of my needs. I will definitely stay here again when i return in August! And would recommend the hotel to friends and family.

I think the hotel room itself is very big in comparison to other Lower East Side hotels which is nice if you are looking to stay for a week or so. The area is loud and you definitely hear the music from the club in the hotel all night. Though the hotel has many amenities, I feel the staff was not very transparent about the access or rules regarding the amenities. For example, we were told about the hotel bar, but were not told we needed to head to the lobby to get a stamp to access it. We were also told about the coffee offerings in the morning, but were not told it wouldn't be complimentary and had to pay where most hotels in this area offer at least drip coffee for free. Would understand for espresso based drinks but seems silly to charge for such a small cup. On paper there is a lot to appreciate about Hotel Indigo, but I do think your time would be better spent at most of the other hotels in the LES area.
