Kaunis rantahotelli, joka sijaitsee Memphremagog-järven rannalla. Se on 35 mailia pitkä, yli 350 jalkaa syvä järvi, joka ulottuu Newport Vt: stä Magog Kanadaan ja josta on uskomattomia auringonlaskuja näköalapaikastamme. Kaikki Koillis-kuningaskunnan järvet ovat mahtavia veneliikenteen puutteen takia, mutta Memphremagog-järvi on jotain erityistä: se on suurempi kuin kaikki muut järvet yhdessä, eikä siinä ole enempää veneliikennettä kuin millään muulla järvellä, joten se on paljon rauhallisempi.

Moniin ulkoiluaktiviteetteihin sisältyy: uinti, veneily, pyöräily, kalastus, pilkkiminen, melonta, lumi mobilisointi, hiihto, lumikenkäily tai vain ripustaa palokaivon vieressä ja tähtikatselu iltaisin.

Vain lyhyen ajomatkan päässä pienestä kadustamme on pyörätie, joka kulkee luonnonkauniilla järvenrannalla aina Kanadan rajalle asti. Älä unohda passejasi, koska kun olet matkalla toiselle, löydät pyöräteiden verkoston tutkittavaksi kauniiden maisemien ja piknik-paikkojen varrella. Noin 20 minuutin päässä löydät Jay Peak Resort: hiihto, ovesvesipuistossa, golf ja jäähalli, ja loistava gondolimatka huipulle jopa sesongin ulkopuolella.

Everything was so quiet and peaceful. I will always remember the sound of bird wings touching the lake. The house was beautiful and we loved the decor. This was the first time I was able to take my dog on vacation. He loved the quiet and so did we. Cindy (and David) helped make this an amazing vacation for all of us. Beautiful, amazing views. Absolutely love the home. We had such a wonderful, relaxing stay. We weren’t looking to do something every minute but there was so much info on activities in the area. This would be a wonderful stay for those who love winter activities. Very pleased we had this experience. Our dog loved it the most we believe! Wow! Lake Memphramagog!

Great stay in Newport Vt. Location is fabulous, outside amenities really are the best for enjoying the lake. The house is very comfortable and has everything you need for a great stay.

Not Ideal

The property is not very well maintained. Inside the house is dirty and cluttered. No space to settle in because lots of items left from previous tenants in refrigerator, vanities and closets. Some of the items in refrigerator expired 2 years ago. Too much furniture and decor for such a small space. Outside is overgrown. We had to mow the lawn to make it suitable for small children to play in. Photos do not reflect current state of property. The positives are location, beautiful views from dock and sunsets.

This was our 5th year staying at this amazing location in Newport. The lake was wonderful during the hot, hazy days and the ac in the house made it very comfortable inside. There is so much to do in the area and Dave has done a nice job of creating a home that is a perfect getaway.

Great location but house needs cleaning

communication with owner went well on questions we had and view from house is perfect. Close to trail around the lake and town and quite area. Property inside and out needs a through cleaning though. Downstairs bathroom funky in that you can not open the door all the way. Maybe hang the door so it open out instead will correct that. Vegetation overgrown in areas on lower deck and plastic chairs under the vegetation. With some TLC this would be a great rental.

The house was beautiful but not very clean.there was a bad odor coming from the laundry room area.I have no idea what It could have been.The grass was not cut then the hose wanted to come and mow the lawn while I was there with my dog.I told him no that is the last thing I want to hear while on my vacation.After I told him no he messaged me 43 time about it.It was ridiculous.i will not go back there again

Comfortable house with beautiful view!

The house is as advertised. The views are beautiful. The house is very comfortable. We were in the area for a wedding. Supermarkets are not a very far drive, approximately 10 minutes at most. You can drive to the Canadian border in around 15 minutes. We took our son just to show him. :) All in all, it was a comfortable stay and worked out well for us.

This house was lovely! David was so incredibly nice and accommodating, even offering sleds to my boys so we could go sledding. We had such a great time and the view is absolutely breathtaking. The yard is fenced in for our dogs, too!

Great location to Jay and Canada!!

Plenty of room for adult family of 5 with room to spare!!! Fenced in backyard was great for our dogs. Beautiful fireplace kept us warm and heated up quickly. Downstairs rooms were toasty and lovely to have a large washer/dryer and two full bathrooms. The view through the wall of windows is spectacular day and night. 35 minutes to Jay with ease and the town of Newport is quaint and nice restaurants. Pick and Shovel is a must if you enjoy hardware stores. Under 2 hours to Montreal we enjoyed as well. Perfect location. Dave has a lovely place and I would love to see it in the summer time as well on this beautiful lake. Thank you again.

Fantastic Stay

Peaceful lake getaway

Quiet, relaxing and dog friendly

We very much enjoyed our stay! The location was perfect. It was so quiet and relaxing. The house came with everything we would need, we only needed to buy groceries. The fenced in yard was perfect for our dog to also be able to enjoy his time in freedom. The host was informative and helpful. We will definitely stay again!

The house location was great however the state of the house was very dirty! Food left in fridge, windows covered in spider webs and dirt, towels left in washer/dryer. And we were charged another $160 for trash pickup!!!!!

Another amazing stay in Newport

This was our 4th summer at the lake with our kids and grandkids. The upgrades to the kitchen were wonderful but the reason we keep coming back is the lake and the beautiful town of Newport. Swimming, sunning, kayaking, hiking, biking…the list goes on and on. The four bedrooms are so comfortable, the family room is homey, and the dining room table fit all 8 of us with room to spare. We also travel with our 60 pound farm dog and he enjoys it as much as us!!
