I’ll start by saying the manager here is great, but that’s literally the ONLY good thing about this property. I should’ve paid more attention to the reviews before booking. From the moment I arrived, I had to immediately switch rooms because the mildew/mold smell was unbearable. The second room was a slight improvement, but the rooms are outdated, and walking on the floor without socks will leave your feet disgustingly dirty within 30 minutes. The cleaning is subpar at best. The toilet seat in the bathroom was cracked and old—seriously, they couldn't even replace a $20 seat? Then, one morning at 6:15 AM, I was woken up when the mirror fell off the wall and crashed onto my bed. Maintenance told me they’d fix it around noon while I was at the Convention Center for work. Fine, whatever. But around 2 PM, I get a call saying that when they went in to fix the mirror, the toilet "didn't sound right," and they needed permission to fix it. This is after the toilet worked just fine when I left. I get back to my room after being gone for 10 hours, and guess what? The toilet doesn’t work AT ALL. Bottom line: don’t stay here unless you’re looking for a constant headache and frustration every night.

Great one night stay

Great central location for downtown Palm Springs. Staff was friendly and professional. The only concern we had was the deadbolt didn’t work and the door didn’t fit the frame to our room. We let the front desk know on checkout.

Classic hotel well worth staying at

Older hotel and a bit dated but exceptionally clean and well maintained. Friendly staff made check-in and check out smooth and quick. The walls seemed a little thin as I could hear neighbors once in a while but otherwise quiet. I especially liked the pool area with its distinct Hawaiian feel.

We really enjoyed the chill Tiki Vibe of the Caliente. The heated pool and hot tub was a real treat after the sun went down and the temperature dropped.

The room was outdated, damaged, old and dingy. Stained carpeting, missing tiles in the bathroom and a wonky shower head, had a musty smell upon checking it. The pool on Sunday once all the kids left from the bike race was wonderful and quiet. I do wish the tiki bar was connected to the hotel payment system.

Obvious wear and tear on property/furniture/etc. But compared to nearby properties, it was a great affordable option. Water running sometimes was quite loud, water didn't drain properly in the shower. Conveniently walkable to nearby bars/restaurants (we went to Seymours for drinks and the ACE hotel for a wedding and for the swim/beach club) 5 min walk to each. Good atmosphere with lots of kids/families around. Island vibes during the day. Tiki bar was as advertised, kitschy, fun and cool. Zombies are strong. Pool area seemed like a good spot to hang out but didn't have time. Overall, Palm Springs accommodations are expensive. This hotel is a little pricey but comparatively cheap compared to other properties in the area, so still a good deal.

The rooms here are nothing special, but the pool and grounds around it are beautiful! It’s nice having dining choices on site as well. This is our second stay here and ironically both times the shower gel and shampoo were empty. They were never filled during our weeklong visit. Thankfully we bring our own.

The Perfect Little Place!

So happy I found this place! Such a great vibe! Rooms are lovely, well kept and spacious. Plenty of hot water and a mini fridge in room as well. Staff is friendly and helpful. There is a restaurant and bar on site and their food, drinks and service are excellent. Pool and hot tub, mellow lighting and calm at night. Felt very comfortable here. Conveniently located as I was going back and forth to the Convention Center. Parking is easy and convenient and the rate is affordable. I can't wait to stay here again!
