Family trip to the redwoods.

Very nice day in the midst of the coast redwoods. We stayed in the. Firehouse and included three adults and three children. We all enjoyed the camp store, (cold) swimming pool, playground, and especially access to the river. We did very well in the.modest facility as far as cooking, bathing, and sleeping. The camp staff was friendly, and we felt secure. We appreciated having both a charcoal grill and round fire pit, with outside chairs. we found wild blackberries on the property!

Fire Alarm at Midnight!

The picture online did not match the room we were assigned. We were told it was a nonsmoking room although there were ashtrays throughout. We opened the sliding door and used a provided floor fan to air out the room. The fire alarm went off at the wee hours of the morning. We jumped up and made it outside to be safe, we were not sure who to call. No one at the park checked in on us. It’s a good thing there was no fire. My husband took care of the sounding alarm and ensured there was no fire. Not the most enjoyable experience.

Not what was expected.

We were excited to stay at the Redwoods River Resort. We found our room to be not exactly what was shown in the photos during booking. Our bathroom floor was sticky and the shower was old and rusty. Harrison’s pub was really good, the food was tasty.

We had an awesome stay at Redwoods River Resort! The location couldn’t be better nestled right near the Avenue of the Giants with beautiful river access just steps away. We were stoked to find the pub open and spent a relaxing evening with cold beers and a few games of shuffleboard. Our room was super clean and cozy, with a convenient kitchenette that made cooking easy. We also learned about all the fun events and yearly competitions the resort hosts now we’re already planning a return trip so we can experience one of them firsthand!

It was a neat experience, being in a log cabin, in the woods. Our daughter really wanted to visit Confusion Hill, which is across the street. Super convenient. The little pub on site has a very family run, old English pub vibe. We enjoyed a meal, and looking at all the photos & decor. It was a great stay.

We had a great time at Redwood River Resort. Everyone was so nice and friendly and the Deer Haven cabin was a delightful place to stay - cozy and comfortable with fun rustic decor and a big comfortable bed. The heater worked great. The food at Harrison's was very enjoyable also. We will stay here again!
