The property is beautifully designed with a sleek, minimalist vibe our spacious room (we stayed in one of the suites) was spotless, super comfortable with high-end linens, a plush bed that gave us the best sleeps of our trip, and The rooftop is the real highlight two gorgeous infinity-style pools, plenty of loungers, incredible views over the city and toward the Caribbean, and a chill poolside bar with great cocktails. It was the perfect spot to unwind after a day of exploring. The staff deserves special mention from the front desk team who helped with everything (luggage, recommendations, even carrying groceries!), to the friendly faces everywhere, they were genuinely helpful, professional, and always smiling. Breakfast at the partnered Yum Yum restaurant was delicious fresh, varied, and a great way to start the day. Yes, the area has some nightlife noise (typical for central Playa earplugs are provided if needed), but it didn't bother us at all as we're night owls. Underground parking was a huge plus too! If you're looking for a stylish, comfortable, well-located spot that's great for couples, families, or anyone wanting to experience the real energy of Playa del Carmen without sacrificing peace and quality, Antera is it. We'll definitely be back already planning our next trip! 5/5 stars — Highly recommend! 🌴🏊‍♂️✨

This is a lovely hotel in an excellent location. The inner courtyard is very pretty and calming. The staff were friendly and helpful. The room was much as we expected, smallish but comfortable. Being in downtown Playa Del Carmen, it was pretty noisy at night - we needed ear plugs to get to sleep, but no surprise there. The kitchen amenities were quite limited - no dish soap, wash cloth, only one small towel. The laundry worked perfectly, and the AC easily cooled both the main room and the bedroom. On our last day we couldn’t get hot water. The rooftop pool was a treat, but the hot tub would be better described as a warm tub. The bartender was delightful and made a delicious coconut mojito for our complementary drink. We would stay here again, but I’d book an interior room to reduce the noise.

I didn't like it when I was staying at the hotel with a small child, that they left us a letter that they would be fumigating the room from 10 am to 1 pm. How are you going to carry out the fumigation, spray chemicals on our things, our bed? If you have a problem with bedbugs, you should close the hotel, move people out, and then do fumigation, not when people are living in the room, that's about bad service. It ruined our mood on our vacation.

I had a wonderful stay at Antera!!! The staff was exceptional! Everyone was very friendly & helpful with any questions I had. The hotel was very clean & decorated very nice for Christmas! They also accommodated by late check out request & they stored my bags until it was time for me to leave. The rooftop pool was quiet & relaxing & it was located close to everything! Beach, shopping, great restaurants off 5th was perfect for me! I’ll definitely return!

Our bed was soaked in urine and we had to ask for a different room. The bar next door is extremely loud until 5 am so it’s next to impossible to sleep even with earplugs. The hot water was very spotty and the breakfast that you pay extra for is overpriced for what you get and not really worth it.

We loved the setup of the rooms and the location of the hotel. We had a room on the first floor with a little patio facing a beautiful courtyard. Only drawback was that you could hear the neighbors in the upstairs scraping the furniture a lot all day. Otherwise great room, we had the 2 bedrooms setup. Very spacious, beautiful furniture. I wish they would provide dish soap and detergent for dishwasher.there was also a washing machine and dryer. That was great! Cleaning was very basic, but they came every day, so that was nice. The roof top is beautiful. There are 2 areas with roof top pool. We spent plenty of time there. There is plenty to do around, really good places to eat and beach is one block. We hope to be back!
