Mediocre food bordering on terrible (breakfast and lunch), dinners were ok to good. The service was mediocre to bad, which surprised me. The shows were actually hit or miss. Nice beach! Overall not impressed and would not go back…

No water for several days. When we got here all water was cold. Over 200 guests were ill guessing E. coli. Staff did not address any issues. Did not let us know why there was no water. Or when we would have water. It was a mess! It was not fun being severely ill with out flushing toilets!!! Very poor communication

The rooms were not clean, the air condition did not work very well,very little hot water in the showers. the elevator did not work in the building. the pool always had oily water in it. The food was not very good. This is a resort that I would not go to again.

The Staff was very responsive and helpful. The food was not very good. We got sick with the Norovirus. The rooms were clean but old and not well cared for. The pictures on the website are not very accurate.

The beach was beautiful and the weather was fantastic. The hotel was atrocious! Everyone in our group of 8 got extremely sick with gastrointestinal issues. Nausea, diarrhea, stomach pain. On site convenience store sold diarrhea/nausea relief for $ 37usd along with bottled water for $13usd. Shows the pure greed of the hotel. Check in was extremely slow. The hotel is so spread out, our group was spit up and a good 15 min walk apart. There was a trolly, just never any room on it. Definitely needed more transportation services. Never any loungers available at the pools unless you want to spend $100 USD greed over satisfied customers once again Staff not very eager to serve except the ones trying to sell time shares. They were quite persistent and bothered us several times during our stay. Check out at noon, ride to airport at 3pm. Asked for late check out $20 per hour. But Nope you can’t. Often had dirty dishes. Cups with lipstick or coffee stains. Saw children at the buffet pick up food with their hands, smell it and put it back. Food was mid depending where you eat. Swim up bars at the children’s pools not the adult pools - not sure why children would need a swim up bar. Can only imagine the content of urine in that water. I have been to many all inclusives and this one by far was the worst. Will never go back and will warn anyone I can to stay away. TERRIBLE EXPERIENCE

We were a group of 10. We were there from February 17th to today( February 24th). We all were extremely ill. Pleaded with front desk for bottled water and was told had to purchase from the gift shop ($12 each) We spent $500 on bottled water. I complained everyday. At the end of our trip ,a few finally came around and they closed the Buffet. We could not eat anything. We lived off Pringles and bottled water. My husband and daughter are still ill and are going to the doctors tomorrow.

My family of 5 arrived at this resort on 2/16/25 and left on 2/21/25. Everyone in my family become violently ill around 24 hours after arrival. We spent 4 of the 5 days in our hotel room, that also had mold , puking and diarrhea. Every single person I spoke with at this resort was sick! The resort would not take accountability for any of it staying poor hygiene. I've read on the Facebook page that they closed down the main buffet and are sampling everything. Ive used Expedia slot over the years and trust their opinions on places And I am appalled that this resort is one of their VIP access resorts. We will never be back, actually my children never want to go to Mexico again. This was a $7000 Vacation, completely ruined. This hotel needs to shut down for a few days and figure out why their guests are getting sick. Today upon check out 2 ambulances came... Their sister resort issued a statement yesterday, that no guest from Playacar could visit in a day pAss and vice versa due to this illness. This is no joke! Do not go to this resort right now!

Pros: - Lots to see on the property as it is quite large - Clean grounds - Clean rooms - Friendly staff - Variety of pool options - Beautiful beach - Chayita Cons: - Entire group of 11 all got norovirus starting on day 2 of our trip. After looking on Facebook groups, it's clear that it has been rampant there for months and looks to be ramping up (or more people are speaking up) We missed out on so much. - Food was not great which can be expected at an all inclusive. Not just at the buffet but at the restaurants as well - VERY hard to get reservations for restaurants even though most of them are quite empty at opening. We were lucky and had help from Kena that works at the resorts and she was able to get our group reservations for all restaurants.

I would have liked there to be clocks by all the pools. Our room was in the adult section near the pool and we could not get good internet access the whole week. The tvs are pretty out of date, it would be nice if the rooms had the Roku tvs so we could log into our own accounts. - other than that we had an amazing experience and will definitely be back!
