What we love about this hotel: Clean room, great location in the middle of old town (yet very quiet inside the room), very large bedroom & entranceway to put luggage & hang up coats, excellent breakfast, and good value for the price. What we wish for from this hotel: A full-length mirror in the room (maybe attached to the inside of a closet door?). We enjoyed our stay at this hotel, and would definitely recommend it.

Good hotel with great location

Pros: Location, air-con, spacious rooms
Cons: For the cost, nothing
Location: Centre of the Old Town near within walking distance of Charles Bridge, Prague Castle, Wenceslas Square and countless museums
As a family with two young children, Palac U Kocku had everything we needed. Our room was spacious (with a separate bedroom for the children), well equipped in terms of no frills amenities and had air conditioning which was really useful in 31 degree temperatures. The two restaurants on the ground floor were handy, as we arrived later on in the day, so we didn't need to go far to have a choice for a meal - the breakfast choice was also good. Staff were helpful and very quick to remedy any problems; on arrival, two of the beds weren't made up, but this was rapidly fixed. Other contributors have mentioned noise disturbance but if you stay in the middle of a city this is unavoidable. Certainly on the top floor we heard virtually nothing. By far the best feature is the hotel's location in the Old Town. The major attractions we visited were all within 25 minutes walk - and this is at a 5 year-old's pace! If ever we are in Prague again, we would definitely use this hotel.
