Great Vacation in Paradise!

This hotel has an amazing view of the Ocean. The one thing I would recommend is a change in the dinner menu. Even if they simply prepared a special dinner each night for the guest that is completely different from the main menu. That would keep a lot of guests staying and letting friends know about this facility. The only problem we had was the power and water in Tower 1. They did move it’s to a different room after a few days which helped greatly. Overall it is a very friendly hotel and many people willing to help with anything.

Very nice resort with great staff. Was a little quiet so more elderly people. If you like quiet and relaxed environment then great place. Only wish there was more poolside entertainment and activities and more night time activities. Daily 9 pm shows were awesome. Also Alberto was amazing and took care of us well. Very close to marina and downtown area.

The property was a bit out dated. The air conditioning wish it was a bit stronger. Fixtures were old in the room. But service was great. Israel- was great at the pool service/breakfast buffet. Marco was also great at breakfast. Wish there were more option for food. Ice cream should be available at all time (like in other melia resorts) flavored liquors would be nice. Overall great time. Loved the hourly activity options.

It was nice that the property was close to the Marina. The room we originally got was not what was booked, but they did make it correct starting the next night. Property was clean, parts looked like they could use a little bit of an update. The specialty restaurants were our favorite, staff was always wonderful. I wish they could have had 1 or 2 more specialty restaurants other than the 2 that were there. The buffet was just ok. Drinks were good, bar service was good. I feel like they could have used another waiter or 2 around the pool to help. All in all we would go back.

You get what you pay for…. Staff was great, but the resort could double its staff very easily for the number of guests. This resort is strictly for family’s. Cheap generic food options, drinks are loaded with extra juice instead of alcohol (our 10-12 yr olds couldn’t tell the difference from our drinks to there’s) The resort is crowded compared to other resorts near by that we stay at.

The Melia all inclusive resort overall is a good resort. The food is very bland, the drinks are good but very little to no alcohol. The two main restaurants are very difficult for a family of five and six to get into before 8pm, unless you make reservations atleast 3-4 days in advance for each place. Staff is very friendly but seems lacking compared to the amount of guests staying at the resort. Restaurant service was very slow, food was ok. But takes more than an hour for a family of six to go through the process of a planned meal. Don’t expect to lounge and have a waiter stop by for drink orders very offten…. The rooms mattresses were very old, and rooms are outdated compared to other resorts we stayed at in Puerto Vallarta. We enjoyed the restaurants in the marina in the afternoons and evenings. The resort needs a lot more sun chairs for guests that don’t want to wake up by 6am or are just arriving and couldn’t save chairs near the pool, By 7:30am your only option is maybe a chair at the beach, pile belongings on the ground near the pool or get a taxi and go site seeing.

It was beautiful and close to everything! Lots of great views of Puerto Vallarta and the Marina. The only thing I didn’t like was that it didn’t have a lot of things to do at night but other than that it was amazing!

We were very happy overall with our stay at the Melia Puerto Vallarta. The staff was amazing. The wait staff were super friendly and attentive, especially Jose Lomeli. The variety of food options was excellent. My only big disappointment was the reserving of pool lounge chairs. Despite the signs everywhere, guests reserved lounge chairs as early as 7am. Pool staff simply turned a blind-eye. Why have signs, if nothing is going to be enforced. I will be posting pictures of this situation. Pictures we took early one morning. Entire rows of chairs reserved with no one in the pool area. Not fair for guests that want to go poolside in the morning and not be able to find a suitable resting spot.

Property layout was fabulous! Open welcoming and beautiful! The staff in the buffet was fabulous! FOOD AT THE BUFFET WAS FABULOUS! Our 4 kiddos ate very well for the week! The taco restaurant was not a good experience, terrible food and we were stuck in there for almost 2 hours. We did not eat at the fish restaurant. The pool snack bar was pretty good, but Needs chips, pico and guacamole! This was the staple we were missing! The pool was kept very well clean and comfortable temperature! Lacked fun activities, was more of a relaxed laid back atmosphere. The pool swim up bar was ok, drinks were ok but the older gentleman at the other bar made fantastic drinks.! Beach was well kept and saw lots of whales and dolphins right out from swim area. Amazing views sunrise and sunsets! We will definitely go back! Many fantastic memories were made for our family! Thanks Melia for an over all fantastic time!

Excellent property very walkable to Bucerias. Great staff and food. Not easy to get a chair at adults pool bit the other pools are great. Pool side service exceptional. Pool bar food excellent. Loved our room. We would recommend it.
