The resort is very outdated. I notified staff several times that it was my birthday, yet days went by before a simple banner appeared on the door rather than the requested birthday decorations that should have been ready upon arrival. The food and drinks were disappointing. After visiting the Dominican Republic multiple times, this was the first trip where the dining experience was underwhelming. We returned home having lost weight, which says a lot, considering that on previous trips, including a recent stay at a resort in Jamaica for a wedding, we actually gained weight from enjoying the food so much. The beach was covered in seaweed, making it nearly unusable. A few staff members were friendly, though many others were either mediocre or flat-out rude. Most of the guests appeared to be in their 60s while we are in our 40s, so the overall atmosphere lacked energy, fun, and vibrancy. Bingo seemed to serve as the main entertainment option. Guests are required to upgrade to "Privilege" status just to access better quality alcohol, which made the entire experience feel even more disappointing. Unfortunately, this trip completely ruined what was meant to be a special birthday celebration.

The reception staff was very welcoming, informative and friendly. When it came to the concierge/sales staff, they were a bit aggressive and misleading when it came to catch our attention, they made it seem like their services were part of the stay but when it came to breakfast the first morning they were attempting to sit us down to sell us the timeshare package. They were trying to get us to fill out paperwork without explaning to us what the intent or purpose was. The food was mediocre, the only good thing about the resort was the buffet food, and italian restaurant. Reservations were nearly impossible for any of the restaurants that required it, staff did not inform us correctly of when to pursue reservations. We were a party of 10 people, which was also nearly impossible for restaurants to accomodate. Also, at the swim up bar, I had a few encounters with staff that were short tempered, rude, rolled their eyes and pretty much felt like I shouldn't be ordering drinks although this is an all-inclusive stay. I also could not go to the beach without feeling harrassed by buying a massage, or some sort of artifact from the locals.

We had a great time over our week stay. All the staff was very friendly and helpful. Food options were great. There were two huge pools, one side of you wanted the entertainment and another if you wanted to relax. Only issue was that the rooms, bedding was a bit outdated.

On arrival I was put in a room where it was plenty of dust and dirt. Move to another room and the air conditioner was blowing out fumes, barely slept that night. The next morning I was moved to another room and from that day, it was perfect. I received resort bucks that had many restrictions. Resort bucks was a gimmick. You were not allowed to use the bucks in certain areas of the resort and the areas that you were allowed to use them you have to spend more than half of what the bucks was worth so I wasn’t happy about that.

Very nice. Maid service was poor. 3 people in room and only 2 coffee cups and 1 packet of coffee. We asked multiple times to accommodate 3 of us but it never happened. We had to call and request what we needed

Our stay at the resort was generally satisfactory. On our first full day, we were misled into what we thought would be a special breakfast to celebrate our honeymoon. A hotel representative, who introduced herself as catering to Expedia VIP guests, told us a reserved table would be waiting for us the next morning as part of our celebration. However, this turned out to be a setup for a sales presentation that lasted over two & a half hours, taking away our entire morning. We had not agreed to any presentation, & had we known the true purpose of the meeting, we would have declined. Despite telling the representative we’d be ready by 9:30AM, she called our room around 8:15AM saying she was on her way, then a rep sat with us through breakfast before taking us to the presentation. We also tried to book a romantic dinner on the beach or in the gazebo near the buffet, but no staff member, including the Expedia VIP rep could give us any helpful information, which was frustrating. The resort amenities were also disappointing. We didn’t receive any of the honeymoon amenities we were told to expect. There was also confusion regarding the towel policy; we were unaware we needed a towel card & had to plead for two towels after being told we couldn’t get them otherwise. Before 8:30 AM, the water was hot & adjusting the temperature caused the handheld shower head to activate, which remained scalding. 4 stars because of entertainment.
