This was hands-down, our favorite property. The waterfalls behind the property were gorgeous the dogs were super friendly, and then the comfort of the property felt like home. They had fresh cookies and lettuce for salad when we arrived and the little kitchen area where we could use products and was amazing. So relaxing. Would definitely book again.

Beautiful property with sheep, horses, dogs. Lovely rooms with great views. When you walk in to reception, you are met with the smell of freshly baked cookies. These cookies are delicious. Quite the welcome!

I cannot compliment the owners of The Garage enough for their thoughtful interior design, high quality amenities provided throughout the stay, and warm reception! The landscape and farm setup are gorgeous, we strongly recommend this as one of the nicest places on the south coast of Iceland.

This is the most beautiful rental we stayed in. You can see the mountains with waterfalls in the back and the front faces the lake. The place is impeccable. The host is also very accomodatng with our early checkin. Highly recommended if you plan to stay in this area.

The surroundings are stunning! The gorgeous waterfall, horses grazing in the front, we even saw some rainbows. I didn't want to leave. The desserts and produce that the owners share with guests were delicious and such a nice touch! We also loved the dogs and cat. I can't wait to go back!

What a wonderful place to stay. You have in the background a cliff or rock with three waterfalls and you look out to the ocean ! We took advantage of the outdoor hot tub with the views. The room had three beds and a kitchenette. Very clean room. We were able to make some food and take advantage of the free lettuce from the garden and cakes made by the owner. There are also two lovely dogs always around on site. We definitely recommend.

PERFECT IN EVERY WAY

PERFECT IN EVERY WAY!!! This was a very large apartment with a huge shower. So great when many of the showers in Iceland are small. The kitchen was farm house style and had everything you needed. The beds were cozy and comfortable. The view was amazing. We had a patio with views of the ocean and a waterfall. There was also a hot tub on the property. The owner made checkin easy. We got to park our car right next to our unit. She even left us a sweet note with some cake.

Great location, beautiful property. Immediately behind the property is a beautiful waterfall - your own personal waterfall. Only problem we had was a smell from the bathroom. It smelled like an “out-house” in the bathroom - very pungent and the smell seeped into the entire room. Likely an issue with plumbing vent stack, or trap issue. This could likely easily be rectified. Anna was great to work with and made fresh bread for the guests and provided fresh lettuce from her garden. Overall great.

The views from this property can't be beat! A waterfall out the back door and the ocean from the deck. We were very comfortable in the Cow Shed. The accommodations came with everything needed. The owners were available and willing to help with everything that was needed. I cannot say enough about this property. We loved it!
