We chose this property because the price was good. We expected a dated hotel but I did not expect it to be so dirty. We changed rooms as our bathroom toilet was not clean and the carpets were not vacuumed. The second room was at least somewhat clean. The heater did not work and the TV had no channels. We told the day time staff and it was not fixed even though we were out of the room all day. After we told the evening staff, he brought a space heater and tried to fix the TV problem. We had 5 stations after he was done fixing it. My husband was going to use the public bathroom on the lobby floor and chose not to because of the filth. The toilet had smeared feces on the toilet seat. It was not stained.

We left and went and stayed at another hotel. There were pee stains on the sheets and towels. Walls were paper thin and the whole second floor smelled like cigarette smoke.

Nasty breakfast

Breakfast was disgusting. The waffle batter was so thin you could drink it. And the maker had a drip pan under it that was full of grease and I don’t know what else. Then it didn’t even cook the waffle all the way through. There was an hour left of breakfast and they were out of biscuits and gravy and eggs. I am pretty sure if a health inspector would have showed they would have shut them down

Outside the property was littered. A hypodermic needle was in the parking lot. The hallway reeked of marijuana smoke. The towels were stained and so was the comforter. The desk clerk did make an exchange of the stained linens. The room was in a bad state of repair. Mildew spots in the bathroom and broken furniture. We were booked for three nights. We left after the first night and would have left then if i had felt comfortable going outside in the dark. I am supposed to be refunded for 2 nights. That and the friendliness of the desk clerk is the only reason that i didn't taste this terrible.

The property is not convenient to Rapid city center! It is run down and dirty! The room is filled with old furniture and smells.The shower was literally black on the floor, I doubt it had been cleaned in ages. The towels are old and beat up , two were dirty all were stained. There was no manager present ever and the staff on site listen to my complaints and stared at me like deer in headlights but did nothing to change the situation. Except bring me another set of stained towels.The so called free breakfast included in the room price is terrible and quite frankly a joke! Powdered eggs, oatmeal that looked as though it had been reserved for a week, stale bread and bagels and waffle batter and maker that barely worked. I didn’t touch breakfast it was so bad and the seating area to eat the breakfast was opposite the lobby by the front entrance and was uncleaned , uncomfortable , noisy and cold from the entrance doors. They should have set it up in the parking lot it would have been better. All things that are stated above made this the worst hotel that I have stayed in. The manager still has not called me back even after I asked at least 5 times and gave my cell.it is very obvious that the property is a rundown mess and the property managers and staff don’t care !! DO NOT STAY IN THIS HOTEL no natter what price you can get. Plenty of good hotels in Rapid city! Regards, Tom

It was adjoining room. I didn’t know the people beside me. I get they had their TV on all night. I didn’t couldn’t get to sleep it really loud. There was no microwave to heat up the water for my tea.

We had booked a pet friendly room. Upon arrival after 8pm, they were still “cleaning” our room. The room they put us in had wet carpet and reeked of vomit. I asked him if they could put us in a different room, letting him know I’m 7 months pregnant and the smell of vomit behind our headboard was making me physically sick. He said there were no rooms available. I asked him if he could clean the room, he said he “didn’t know how to use the machine”, therefor could not clean our room. He handed us a bottle of spray so we could clean it ourselves. I asked for a refund so we could stay elsewhere, he said no. After two HOURS of back and forth, being lied to, and him disappearing for long periods of time, they charged us more to put us in a different room that was dirty, but not putrid smelling. We didn’t get into the “clean” room until after 11pm. He would not give manager information and was extremely uncooperative. I have traveled across the US in low-budget hotels for years and this was the worst experience I have ever had. They were not open to resolving the issue.

This hotel was disgustingly gross. There was blood on the sheets, asked for new sheets fronts desks never brought them. They couldn’t remember what room. Went back down to ask again, they gave a comforter and said they had no more. The room and bathroom was filthy.

Common areas were fridgid, paint peeling and falling off parts of the walls, especially in the room i was in. Ceiling tile missing above the shower which was very odd. Carpets were filthy and the smell was covered up by air freshener. I'm surprised Wyndham wants their name on this place.

Property is older, but well maintained. All of the regular amenities are provided. The breakfast is a wonderful add-on. Very thoughtful nice tea like toaster microwave and 24 hour coffee and hot water in the lobby. The staff is extremely welcoming and pleasant! Very safe and quiet
