Never staying here again. The doors are so heavy and the locking mechanism is so loud, anyone near you leaving at 5 a.m. or arriving late at night will wake you up as the doors slam shut. Not the other guests' fault the doors close so loudly. Also, never in the 40 years I have been staying in hotels have I ever encountered a ruder, nastier person than the woman serving breakfast. As a guest and a customer, I don't like to be spoken to as if I were a child. Don't walk into that breakfast space five minutes before opening, or you will be treated rather harshly. It wasn't just me, other guests who were not aware of the weekend opening times got an earful as well.

The room was as usual, neat and clean. The beds were narrower than usual queen beds. Felt uncomfortable seeing the cautionary signboard in the parking area, saying that 'hotel management is not responsible for stealing and breaking of cars in the parking area.'

We recently stayed at Springhill Suites in Glen Allen. When we arrived the pool door had a sign stating the pool was closed for maintenance and would re-open the next day. While sitting in the lobby area another patron passed through and stated he had paid the front desk to close the pool for the weekend due to the amount of kids who were there for a weekend football tournament. Second, our room was 110, by the elevators. One elevator was closed and being worked on during our stay. I woke each morning to the sound of scraping, banging, etc from the elevator work. I understand updates are necessary however there are quiet hours for the patrons, this should be followed for the workers as well. Third, on Saturday night when I went with my child to purchase a water the front desk associate was in the back room, in clear view, sleeping soundly. I called out to her, she never budged. We took our water and left her sleeping. Management was made aware the following day. The final straw.. the "pull out sofa bed" is a twin size trundle. When I removed the fitted sheet while stripping linens before check out I was shocked to find a severely soiled/stained mattress my child had been sleeping on all weekend. Not acceptable. I did notify the manager and showed her pictures I took at check out and have also disputed charges. Management agreed to refund one night with the complaint to expedia, acknowledging unsatisfactory conditions IMO.

The only positive part about our stay was one of the front staff. He was very kind. I wish I got his name. Another staff encountered was not so pleasant. The room was not very clean. Our pull out bed was DISGUSTING. The shower was not very clean. Our shower door was broken and would not close properly. The pool was closed the entire weekend and that was one of the main reasons we booked this hotel so that my son could swim. Overall this was not a very pleasant weeekend and I sort of wished we stayed at a different hotel we had in mind.

The walk in shower needs a shower curtain and an edge alomg the sink so that all the water doesn’t spill out past the sink, causing a slipping hazard. The couch was dirty.

Breakfast was good. Location was very good. Guest service was also good. But rooms with queen beds are actually full not queen (too small for two people to share). And although we asked for room cleaning service requested with 24 hrs anticipation on our 6 days stay, they never did. We had to ask front desk for new towels and toilet paper twice.
